Argies taking a lot of praise.

Pretty exciting back 3 they have, but scoreline snd game plan broadly similar to last years fixture

@majorrage I'm really liking their game, they've added an extra little bit on defence and have obviously worked on decision making. It'll take them far if they stick with it.

I just hope they keep it up against Aus instead of the typical poo performance.

DMac gives me wood. One of the first names down on the 23.

    Fritz was excellent

But Goodhue, wow. Him and ALB for the next two world cups easily

Have we heard about Brodie yet? How long is he out for?

Just on Frizzell for the last time - all the fern agrees we need options at 6 to replace Kaino. Squire is a reasonable choice, and is generally pretty decent, but even if he is the man, you can't put all your eggs into the Squire basket. So the coaches are obliged to try other options - they lost Vito and Luatua, Fifita didn't fit the bill, and they were probably going to give the luckless Taufua a shot. Frizzell seems worth an investment, and his game today was probably a 7/10. He certainly has the physical attributes for 6 anyway, although not sure yet if he is genuine lineout option. In any case, coaches seem damned if they do and damned if they don't.

    Akira?

Have they sacrificed a traditional strength though?

What cliche will TJ have now?

@stargazer tackle stats are a bit mis leading, Naholo was out of position a couple of times on Argie breaks, and others tracking back to cover missed tackles that he should have been there to make (or miss)

Sure I saw Frizzell miss one too

I haven't watched a minute of it, but

Giving up that many points at home is unacceptable.

That doesn’t take into account the opposition, the Argies were good for the points they scored. Best wingers on the field we’re not wearing black.

Cheers. Is it worth the replay?

    While probably not outstanding ,

I enjoyed this game , and i think part of that was watching the Argies throw something at us a bit different .

Fuck imagine their wingers on the end of an AB backline. Instant chubby and a metric shit-ton of tries. Some of the best attacking rugby I've seen against the abs of late.

I got a pants tent when watching the wingers try where he stepped three abs .

Good game to watch. I much prefer this Argie team to the negative, niggly, diving teams from previous years. Subbing your best player at 50 mins can't help though. At least there were no brain explosions from Johnathon Thurston's taller, more argentinia brother in the 5 jersey.

Think people here are being pretty harsh on Mounga. A few mistakes but actually played a pretty mature game and kicked his goals well.

Ardie played close to his best game in Black.

Frizzel was actually pretty impressive for someone so raw. Big dude too. Already looks more of a test 6 than Fifita.

TTT looked good in his cameo.

TJP had one of his better games i thought.

Karl T great in the scrums again.

ALB and Goodhue were good in midfield. Strong but controlled. Great to see.

Now for the bad. Harris WTF. The first thing on the list of hooker must haves is being able to throw the ball into the lineout. Consistently terrible.

NMS has lost his pace. It sux because he was awesome in 2015. Made some poor decisions too.
Hope someone like Alaimalo or Nanai get a chance on the EOYT.

Agree with this apart from the lack of praise for the magnificence of Karl T's tache.

    Goodhue continues to impress.

It's the little things with Goodhue that makes him so classy. Last night for example, in the first half the ABs decided to run the ball out from inside the 22. They looked like they were in a spot of trouble, but Goodhue straightened before receiving the ball, went into contact and recycled the ball efficiently allowing the ABs to clear. Not a big deal to the casual observer, but lots of players would have held the outside line and risked being isolated or forced into touch.

I reckon our best back three is Rieko and BFA on the wings and Jordie at fullback. Last night's combination was poor.
