jump at it! Only slightly jealous...

Pretty tough, but by all accounts a pretty stunning course, owned (or used to be) by the same American that had Cape Kidnappers.

Just bring one ball mate! So many rich huas play there they don't get their lost balls. ProV1's everywhere!

Oh! definitely take note of the 'caddie book' they supply you with. It is remarkably accurate.

You are going to love it, even if you shoot the worst round of your life

At my old club up here I used to like going out in the week following a bunch of teenage stars from Korea (they'd be about for 3 months a year) they barely bothered stepping onto the rough (TBF they rarely hit the rough, but anyway) to get a ball, they just hit another new Pro V1 and walked on by, was great!

I always laugh when you find a 'range' ball on a golf course that someone has obviously used for general play.

I don't think so but I found one on our course. Some older fella must have played about 400 rounds with it.

Bumping as almost a month since any update.

Had a couple of rounds this week and both pretty frustrating.

Played Waitemata on Monday - 11 over front, 1 under back. Parred all the par 3s, birdied the two par 5s and a fair bit of poor golf elsewhere, especially on the front 9. Back 9 was better scoring but some ugly.

Yesterday was Titirangi, lovely course and in great nick. So good when clubs have the $ to look after the fairways (actually green in summer and perfect for play the lie) and keep the bunkers full of sand. Used the round as warmup for our annual Masters Ambrose day there in a months time and it was my usual story of a tale of two 9s.

Totally lost it on the back 9. Would be good shot followed by 2 or 3 shit shots. Not often did I manage to put two decent shots in a row or on the same hole

Have a 6 man ambrose comp in a few weeks where you have 3 pairs within the team and play pairs for first two shots and then traditional ambrose takes over with all 6 players trying to hole out the best of the 3 pairs balls. Should be fun.
