@rapido I had my doubts about the try being held up, too.

Congrats to St Peter's. Won with a fantastic second half.
Proud of Napier Boys, who dominated the first half. Only 3 points in it.

Watching this game between these two very good teams, the future of NZ rugby looks bright.

    FT: Napier BHS 28 - 31 St Peter's College

Haha well just as well they play the games and not just decide the winner on paper eh!

Well done St Peter's - what a season - great to see a different school take out the national title and good to see an Auckland school take it out.

I said that the Top 4 final would be anyones to win. Congrats St Peter's.

Well done Hamilton GHS and St Peter's Cambridge for winning the girls and co-ed finals, respectively.

@kiwimurph Haha yeah, we've been underdogs for 4 of the last 5 games. The Westlake game was a good wake up call as we were very lucky to get out of that one, the one game where we were expected to win.

Interesting that Michael Jones' son was tournament MVP.

@tim His defence against Hamilton Boys won us the match, and his work from the back of the scrum and ball in hand won it for us today. A real classy player I think his future is at 7 unless he starts growing a bit more as he isn't the biggest loosie going round.

Saw a snippet of highlights of the final on the news. Jeez Niko (or is it Nikau?) Jones sounds like his old man.

Hopefully catch full game replay on sky this week

Slow starts v Westlake and same in this game by sounds of it
