ok, i have a confession to make. I love "My Kitchen Rules". I love food, i love cooking, i like to watch what people can whip up, but most of all, i like watching hubris. I love watching people crap on about how good they are in the kitchen, how their food is so much better than what everyone else dishes up, and then when they put that plate down, full of confidence, BAM! Manu tells them it's shit, and their face falls, and i laugh. endless entertainment

Reggie Ledoux needs some aspirin. He has a bit of a headache.

Is this in regards to True Detective? Have you read it, and how closely does it link to the series? I'm loving the TV series and I think the book has been quoted in it, but I don't want to read it for fear of spoiling the show.
-

True Detective is awesome, although I wish I'd waited until all episodes were out before I started watching it as I'm always hanging out for the next episode.

Impossible for me. Two friends at work are watching, and can't wait to throw out theories on Mon morning. Plus the local sports talk radio hosts are hooked, and discuss on air as well. I am forced to watch live so I don't get spoiled. Good freaking show. I wonder what is going to happen in the second season with all new actors and a new story. Hopefully not a huge drop off in quality.
-

Yeah, I haven't read it, but I suspect that it is only tangentially related to the show. There is an interesting summary of The King in Yellow here:

I really enjoy it and it gets better as it goes along. I only find the secretary lady to be annoying of all the cast (ok is small doses but not if she's used too much) ... but the other two are quite attractive.

The stuff around the captains lack of emotions is hilarious.
-

THe ads look pretty cool, I forgot to watch last week but I might have to series link it as MOnday is already full with Person of Interest and Walking Dead at my house!
-

Nothing on True Detective this week?

Anyone got thoughts on how this is gonna finish? I dont really have much...

Good to see the Amish girl from Banshee venturing into other shows, hope we continue to see her like that...
-

I'm hoping the scene where they have a beer is as good as the scene in heat where de Niro and Pacino have a coffee. -

True Detective Episode 7 spoilers/talk. My theory/wild guesses (probably wrong) of how it ends?
So the Spaghetti Monster is the lawn mower man (who likes to mow in circles), as suspected. He is also a Tuttle grandson, and might be the son of Sheriff Childress. But is is a lower level guy, like the Ledoux boys. They provided/maybe murdered the girls, but are not the brains. The leaders are "rich men" who go to worship the Yellow King in the woods. The Yellow King is not a real person, it is what/where? the cult worships and sacrifices the girls to when they murder them. So the Reverend Tuttle and his brother the Senator (ex governor) , Sheriff Childress are all in the cult. Who else? Is Marty's father in law (who made comments about young girls/black makeup etc in Ep 2) involved or was that a red herring?

The big question. Is the girl in 2013 murdered/hanging from the bridge Marty's damaged elder daughter Audrey, who Marty has lost contact with and thinks she is away with her boyfriend? And if it is, is Marty going to go postal and murder the senator and everyone else involved? We know he can snap (ask Reggie Ledoux), and if it is his daughter, the shit will hit the fan. Does Rust help him take revenge? Stop him? Stay out of it?
-

Sheesh, you've put a lot of thought into it Rusty, I'm just taking it as it comes and enjoying the performances of the two leads!

Is anyone watching Marvel Agents of Shield? I've watched the first 3 (on actual TV) and as a procedural type show I quite like it ... helped by the fact the half Asian girl (as opposed to the full Asian one) is damn hot. I think they need another soldier type character and he should be a big black guy as they seem to lack muscles at the moment.
-
