Rumour is that James Gunn is going to direct and write Suicide Squad 2 for DC, am stoked!

That's good, although the cast seem to still be holding out hope (putting pressure on) that he'll return for Guardians 3. I actually didn't mind the first Suicide Squad (one of the better DC for me, despite getting the worst reviews for them) but it was hellishly disjointed due I assume to the trailer reaction and re-edit. It will be good to see what a single vision can do with it.

It was disjointed because the script was written in six weeks or something stupid.

Drax actor has tweeted he wants in on the movie too.

I know I should see this before reviewing, but I'm prepared to make a prediction and say you should see it. A cross between Unforgiven and Gran Torino

    This looks fucken amazing.

But it stars the closest person to a god that will ever grace the screen so I'm biased.

    The Living Daylights (1987)

"Timothy Dalton" "TIMOTHY DALTON"? Who the fuck is this weasel-eyed fluffybunny? This wooden wiener is about as suave as goddamn cock cancer. Compared to his illustrious predecessors, messrs Connery and Moore, he looks like he bought his clothes in the fucking supermarket.

"Timothy Dalton". May as well be Tomoko fucken Dildostein for all he's got to do with my Bond franchise. HowTF did he even pass the screen test? His dad must be the goddamn director.

Did the dishes. Read up on the footy. Basically stalled until this bland Where's Wally twat got OFF my telly.

I enjoyed this one. It was a bit 'dark'. Pretty certain a few people who knew Fleming said he said Dalton was his personal favourite Bond.

Necros was one of the coolest henchmen too, better than that homo Dario from LTK

    Terminator Salvation

I'm not quite sure why this got so much hate, ok no Arnie....but Bale and Worthington give kick ass performances, some cool as fuck action scenes.....a really worthy addition to the series. Doesn't quite measure up to the first two ( which isn't surprising ) but way better than number 3 and 5.

    The Hateful Eight

Tarantino emerges from his crypt every few years in order to write a movie with the word "nigger" in it as many times as possible.

When he feels it isn't enough, he extends the movie to nearly three hours in order to get to N-squared.

Long, boring bits of attempted classy cinematography stuffed in among that, and then actually some really nice moments of audiovisual competence in the long shots and some of the action inside the cabin.

    3 bitches out of 5 n-words.

    :::

Personally, I would have checked the basement early on if I was Samuel L Jackson, given he knew the joint so well.

    You're dead to me. Again.

TD was an awesome Bond. Much better than the prissy camp tools before and after him.

Some awesome moments and great dialogue, but also self indulgent and boring like you say. What the fuck a kiwi chick from Auckland was doing in the old west is anyone's guess.

    Your spoiler makes sense.

Auckland founded in 1840, Hateful 8 set in 1870.

More than enough time to have a guts full and move on.

I think it was George Lazenby who was said by Flemming to most resemble the person whom he most based the Bond character on.

But then I could be pulling that one out of my arse like @MN5

Also to throw my $0.02 worth into the ring, I really enjoyed all the Bond movies growing up with Roger Moore as Bond and going back to watch the Connery Bonds.

I actually thought Timothy Dalton made a decent fist of Bond. His Bond was darker, less flashy and less misogynistic which I think paved the way for Daniel Craig (who by the way is my least favourite Bond).

To also stir the pot, I really enjoyed Brosnan's Bond and Goldeneye is one of my all time favourites. Also Goldeneye one of the very best, if not best, movie to console game transitions ever!

I think TD was forever tainted by License to Kill. That was arguably the shittiest Bond film.

I thought he was a great Bond though. Far more like the Bond envisaged by Fleming, even if only his ghost was able to see him on screen 😉.

Definitely agree with that and I'll add that Goldeneye is easily the best Bond film I've seen (I haven't seen all but probably over half).
