Too many errors from Tonga, you just can’t gift Aussie opportunities like that.

24-6 now, this might get ugly.

In terms of the final score or a good old fashioned all in "discussion" between players?

@higgins the score. Although I wouldn’t mind seeing the Tongans dish out some biff on DCE

So Aussie get to take two conversions, the second from in front, because of a bit of accidental contact with the try scorers head, yet they never penalise a head high tackle, what the actual fuck?

The tactic of leading with your feet to stop a try being scored is grubby as fuck, I'm pretty comfortable with them stamping that shit out. But as you say, absolutely no consistency in League given the shit they let go.

It would have been fair enough if the guy was doing that, but it was just basically bad timing, ran into the guy and tripped over him. Completely accidental.

Bad timing for the penalty but I think the Tongans have been getting the rub of the green for their 50/50s.

Tonga on about their 32nd back to back set. They need to find a way over the line, somehow.

"Dance monkey, dance" seems to be spreading around social media.
Will be interesting to see what happens with that.

What is this for those of us who watched the game with no commentary (and more of an eye on Otago and the ref robbing the Magpies 😉 ).

The DJ at the game claims that an official in the production room said "dance monkey dance" when they put up the dance cam of the crowd.

There were other comments of casual racism in the production room, but it was "dance monkey dance" that set him off.

@mimic Haven't seen anything about it but will probably pop up in the MSM at some point.

Des Hasler has returned to coach Manly in 2019.

I don't understand coaching appointments in the NRL. Is there a union you join that means you are always in line for a job?

Seibold has had 1 year in charge of the Bunnies, but looks set to sign for Brisbane from 2020. Souths are then going to make a massive mistake and hire Bennett. Word is that swap might even come forward a year.

This comes a couple of days after Manly went back to their ex in Des Hasler. Best part is, contractually, Manly currently has two head coaches.

@mariner4life It appears to be the same in rugby. For some reason as soon as you crack the big time, you now have the resume to say you have the experience.

The question is how no one interviewing them appears to be able to ask the rhetorical question; so why were you shit in your other jobs?

So according to the Ferald, the Warriors are in no hurry to sign Johnson after next year ( contract expires 2019)
Looks they have finally wised up to the fact he’s not worth $1m + per season.

They'll probably resign him next week tbh. It confirms what we knew through the Isaac Luke and Jazz Tevaga resignings, the Warriors are obviously close to the salary cap limit for the next few seasons so need to sort out their middle of the pack contracts before focusing on someone like Shaun Johnson. It helps them that several key playmakers will be available come Nov 1. If they were to lose Johnson than Te Maire Martin should be their next target.

Damn test/NH league is dirty as fuck. There's head highs (mostly from JWH TBF), head locks, lots of swinging arms not connecting.

Sam Tompkins has played better in 20 minutes of this match than he did his entire time for the Warriors.

Bromwich had another awesome 20 minutes to start the game.

6-6 after 20 minutes. Kiwis look good when they go wide and England look good when they kick.
