@mariner4life but they will over achieve imo. My OKC on the other hand....fuck me dazed these guys make it hard to support them. Poor percentage shots are all we take and thr high percentage shots we do attempt we dont hit.

OKC finally get a W (was only v the Suns)

Adams a DNS and his replacement plays a good one (20-15)

@crucial Nerlens Noel is very solid and he does have the ability to put Adams on the bench for some match ups, if he can live up to his potential and stay injury free. He's just not got anything close to the physicality Adams has which is what youd favour against teams that dont have traditionally strong inside centres.

The Cavs sacked Tyronn Lue yesterday. Life without LBJ in Cleveland is much tougher.

Given Lebron was the best player, the Assistant Coach, the General Manager, the PR guy, yes a completely different environment....

I'm keeping my eye on the Nuhgets with former Taipan fan favourite Torrey Craig getting game time

And getting shots too. Like his game.

He got okay minutes last season about 15 minutes a game. Even started a handful. But I heard the Nuggets GM talking about him preseason and it definitely sounded like he would get better minutes and feature in the rotation more this season and definitely happened in the first 3

I watched the Nuggets on Friday, and never has the stark realities of NBA v NBL been more apparent. In Aus Torrey Craig was an athlete, just looked sharper than everyone on the court. In teh NBA he looks like a plodder, and in a few sequences i saw, was the last back down the court on every transition (working really hard on rebounding though).

I bought a Craig Nuggets singlet on the weekend because i don't reckon he'll be in the league long. Collectors item and all that.

Oh, and the Spurs are ticking along okay, good comeback win over the Lakers on Sunday.

I remember Josh Childress was the star of the ANBL. Because PHX would rather pay his wages and get rid of him than play him

Josh at least did have an NBA career before coming to OZ. Had 4 decent years with the Hawks as a double figure scorer.

Carved up in Europe before going back to the NBA

Klay Thompson with a half decent day out. 14 threes. 10 in the first half.

@mariner4life And then they benched him with a quarter to play. Fuck me NBA coaches can be killjoys sometimes. It's a meaningless October game against the Bulls, let him keep playing and score 80. Give the people what they fucking want.

especially when you are going to piss it in to the top seed spot no matter what.

Other points to note in the West. Spurs win again. Nuggets stay 2nd after beating the Pelicans

And Carmello Anthony has pulled the Rockets to the bottom of the ladder

@mariner4life broke Stephs record of 13 against OKC. Some sick shots in there with no space and the quickest release.

52 points in 26 minutes and the game itself was over early in the 2nd quarter.

I'm usually the last to jump on any patriotic bandwagon, but the video i just watched of Adams doing the floor mopping during his game had me turning the phone to Mrs Mariner and saying "how good are kiwis"

Sources: Wolves agree to trade Butler to 76ers

Sources: Wolves agree to trade Butler to 76ers

The Timberwolves have agreed to trade Jimmy Butler to the 76ers, league sources told ESPN. Butler and the Sixers are hopeful to reach a deal on a long-term contract this summer, sources said.

Jimmy Butler heads to Philly. If he's happy they could be great. If not he will be the locker room cancer they won't need. Houston were desperate to get Jimmy to fix their defensive frailties. It would have been fascinating to see but they are poked now

@canefan Saric is a big loss for Philly. Stretches the floor, works hard and does the grunt work whilst still getting his. He doesn’t have ego which is good for Embied.

Jimmy Buckets better play well or he will be a cancer.

Grizzlies probably the biggest surprise so far.

Saric has been rubbish so far this year though. I reckon it's a good trade, but agree the big question is how Butler goes in the locker room.

Also looks like Melo could be getting the boot from the Rockets, which would just be brilliant. What a slide out of the league.

I think the 76ers more generally have been poor not just Saric. Trying to get Fultz going has stuffed their game up because defences can easily collapse on them without JJ in the lineup. You’re starting point guard and shooting guard can’t hit a shot outside 12 feet. Not good.
