Lego Movie - Morgan Freeman is funny as the wizard, the whole story is adhd, I saw old lego characters I use to own, and that awesome song got stuck in my head for 3 days. 8/10

Inside Llewyn Davis - About a failing folk singer in the 60s, it is a Coen Brothers film so I felt I missed some key moment in the film that explained the ending, the songs were actually quite good. 7/10

Spring Breakers: What a pile of f**king shit. 90 minute movie felt like 3 hours and half the bloody movie was music montages and repetitive dialogue. I feel like stabbing myself in the eyes.

Really? I loved it. And the future seems exactly the same as now except with slightly better technology and high pants.

Is Her a chick flick, or more aimed at chicks??

Tokorev - Fern fave Nicolas Cage is a reformed mobster trying to go straight. On a night out with his new wife, a house invasion results in his daughter being kidnapped... Was alright, except the scenes of Cage screaming in pain of the loss of his daughter silently with music over the top.

The Art of the Steal - Kurt Russell (looking old) Mat Dillon and Legartha. Russell & Dillon are art stealing con man brothers, and Dillon, in an effort to save himself hands the Police his brother. When his brother gets out he tries to go straight...again, ok, while trying to be a bit clever.

As for Her, what's his name Phoenix has become like Daniel Day Lewis to me, I can't watch him without laughing anymore, so while I want to see it I'm not sure if I should bother.

As Tim said, it's neither. It is just an interesting concept that is really well executed.

Sorcerer (1977)

Very good movie, a top-notch thriller. The negative must have been very well preserved, because it looked amazing in 1080p for a 70's film.

Not as good as the original though - especially the tragic explosion scene. The original had much less resources but executed it brilliantly. Also, the (great) soundtrack was underused.

Death Race 2000 - If you remember the controversial Carmageddon video game of the 90s, it was based on this film. Stars David Carradine and Sly Stallone as two road racers who compete in a race across the US where you earn points for running over people. Actually a very funny film to watch. 6/10

Death Sport - Another b-movie starring David Carradine. Bit of tits 'n' ass in it but just a run of the mill 70s sci-fi film about people trying to survive in a post-apocalyptic world. 2/10

Mad Max - Mel Gibson. Aussie cops chasing Aussie gangs, who in turn start chasing the Aussie cops, until Aussie cop Max gets mad. 4/10

Godzilla - Really enjoyed it i think we can all now burn, destroy and bury the abomination that is the 1998 Mr Jessica Sarah Parker version.

Great to see ole 'Zilla battle a couple of other beasts, story line was pretty basic but you dont need much really.

8/10

Mad Max I considered an Aussie classic.

And surely DeathRace 2000 is worth a higher score, Sly gets beaten up in the car park, there is a euthanasia joke and fantastic lines, plus it is running commentary sarcasm, a rarity in mainstream American films.

Frankenstein! Frankenstein the legend, Frankenstein the indestructible! Sole survivor of the titanic pile-up of '95, only two-time winner of the Transcontinental Road Race... Frankenstein! Ripped up, wiped out, battered, shattered, creamed and reamed... a dancer on the brink of death... Frankenstein, who lost a leg in '98, an arm in '99! With half a face and half a chest, and all the guts in the world, he's back!

The Double - Think this movie was trying really hard to be all dark, brooding and clever, all I took was wierd.

The Patrol - almost a documentary style film that follows a troop of British soldiers while on Patrol in Afghanistan. Slow, but I think that is the point of the film, not to mention the attempt to make a political statement about the war, at only 1 hour 20, wasnt too bad.

Finally got round to watching Captain Phillips and I thought it was bloody good. One of the best movies I've watched this year.

Also watched Pompeii due to Virgil's promoting of it in this thread, and by watching it meant I had it going while I was doing stuff. I found Emily Browning to be quite awful, however her handmaiden was farking hot (it's a time for hot handmaidens). Jack Bauer decided he'd out ham Daniel Day Lewis for a day and Jon Snow was Jon Snow-ish.
