I think the point is that it either isn't known by those that count or they are incapable of doing anything about it.

Analysis: The Wallabies have reached the peak of delusion

Analysis: The Wallabies have reached the peak of delusion

Cheika talks of how his team plays attacking rugby and how they throw the ball around. It’s disorganised rugby. It’s dumb rugby. It’s amateur rugby. The Wallabies whip the ball around but are so technically poor in so many areas it’s dysfunctional.

Ok so if Temuera Morrison is playing Eddie Jones who will play Krusty in a movie about the wallabies?

We've learned the hard way (2007) that blaming refs and other factors only gets you so far. At some point you have to be brutally honest about the failings before you can start fixing them. Papering over cracks does not work long term.

There were some fair points in the (harsh) article. At the heart, though, is the point NTA keeps making - Aus does not have a setup that develops proper, test ready rugby players. NZ Cricket suffers from this too. NZ Rugby and Aus Cricket don't - they have the player base and coaching setups to keep on throwing up outstanding players, time after time.

@jegga how would it even be up for debate? Cliff Curtis is assigned all Maori/Mexican/Pakistani/Arabian/Persian roles for the foreseeable future.

Just in case you see the name Lukhan Salakaia-Loto in a future Wallabies squad: it's not a new player.

Lukhan Tui has legally changed his name to Lukhan Salakaia-Loto to honour his late stepfather.

@jegga So no message, just platitudes about expecting to win all their matches. What a waste of electrons.

I'd suggest it's more of an indictment on the SMH's editorial standards...

There's reports that there is a high profile former Wallaby on Jake White's coaching team - if I had to guess I would say it would be Glen Ella.

    https://www.theroar.com.au/2018/11/29/wallabies-weighing-up-white-stuff-report/

RA chief executive Raelene Castle and fellow board members will speak to World Cup-winning former Springboks and Brumbies coach White via a phone hook-up on Thursday to test the waters should they opt to sack Cheika, according to News Corp Australia.
