Fantastic.

I've finally got round to watching House of Cards S2. Man, it's a great improvement over S1. I'm actually churning through it because I want to watch the episodes and not because it's a notable show. One thing really helps.
Getting rid of Zoe the reporter really early on, I just couldn't stand her character, most times I just wanted to slap her.
It seems to be more a 'political' series this season than the first one was which is what I prefer.
-

William Friedkin is adapting Killer Joe and To Live And Die In L.A. for TV

Like many directors, William Friedkin is fed up with trying to get his work seen in a cinema landscape that only values blockbuster spectacles. “I donâ€t want to make a feature film, because I donâ€
t want to make a movie about a guy in a mask and a spandex suit flying around and saving the world,†Friedkin says in a new interview with Movies.com. “And if you do make a serious film today, the chances are it wonâ€
t have a bright future in theaters.â€

Also like so many of his colleagues, Friedkin is combatting this by turning to TV. “The only thing Iâ€m interested in now is long form, which is what youâ€
d call television,†he says, citing Fargo and The Normal Heart as examples of how the small screen has eclipsed the big one artistically. This would explain his openness to “long-form†TV adaptations of his films To Live And Die In L.A. and Killer Joe; Friedkin says both are currently being developed for TV, and although neither will follow the same storyline as the films theyâ€
re based on, each will retain the “vibe†of the original.

As for his personal involvement, Friedkin says he may direct the pilot for To Live And Die In L.A., but only if he likes the script. Details on Killer Joe are still sketchy, but Friedkin does suggest that the series, about “a Dallas detective who is a hired killer,†will be “very edgy.†

Been watching topp country which is great when they are meeting people , cooking and travelling around nz .......Then they do camp mother or the two kens and it's excruciatingly painful , Aaron Ralston would watch it and would look back on hacking off his own arm as pleasant way to spend an afternoon in comparison . It makes Rhys Darby looks sophisticated.
Please for the love of god make them stop, it makes an otherwise fairly entertaining show suck. -

So I finally got round to watching the first series of The Waking Dead. Only 6 episodes so was a quick an easy watch. Quite good if not brilliant, so I'm looking forward to S2.
Ok, some things that annoy me:

1. Why do they set out in convoy with one person in a couple of cars? What a stupid waste of petrol.

2. Why, when they were on one of their forays into the city didn't they head to a sporting goods store and get a bunch of crossbows as they're best for dealing with the zombies due to the lack of noise?

3. All the women on the show annoy me. I don't know if it's because they're unattractive of if they're just badly written ... at least if they were attractive they'd be nice to look at.

4. I thought that they would have killed the guy who had the fever just before they drove off, after all they're just leaving him to turn into a zombie that will attack people.
-
The number of cars tend to fluctuate , sometimes the sleep in them or send them ahead on scouting runs. He petrol never goes off either, which is convenient.

I'm guessing sports stores were cleaned out pretty early on in the epidemic.

Keep an eye on Carol

They aren't quite at the point where they can casually kill people yet. Watching them change over time is one of the best aspects of the show for me. -

Lauren Cohen (aka Maggie is hot) and gives Joe nobodies a sense of hope...

I hope it's not any later than that - I'll get pissed off waiting around. At any rate I still need to um, acquire S2.
-

She comes in early series two,I think she is damn hot too. Also getting back to point four, the creator said in his walking dead universe people are outnumbered by walkers about 10000 to 1 so leaving that guy behind wouldn't have made much difference I guess.
-

Not on a general level but you'd tend to think if you were that guy that you wouldn't want to be responsible for killing someone down the road.

But then again the whole sister holding her about to be zombified sister the whole episode in ep 5 was doing my flippin head in so maybe those things annoy me more than they would others? And TBF I don't think the guy was any different to the sister - they were just in different stages of zombification.

I wonder if the realised at the end of the first series that they needed to up the hotness quota and so she was added? I looked up some pics and she looked nice.
-
Decided to see what all the hype was about with Game of Thrones. Now into season two. Guess you could say I'm hooked.

Started watching Veep while flying back and forth for work. Surprisingly good script, excellent lines and well cast.

Saving up some episodes of season two of Hannibal for a bit of a marathon. I tend to find it's the only way I watch programmes now, otherwise I don't get back into them. Silicon Valley being an exception - can't wait for a new episode.

via my phone

aMONGST all the stuff I have to watch I started Orange is the new Black, and really enjoyed it!! The finale was predictable, but good none the less!

Although S2 only started a week or so back, the whole series is available to those that are that way inclined...

Also, Falling Skies is back, yay!!
-

Anyone watched/watching Penny Dreadful? Has pretty good IMDB ratings for a horror/supernatural series. Timothy Dalton, Eva Green and Josh Hartnet are cast in it as well.

Also, Falling Skies is back, yay!!

Yeah just started watching that and almost finished season 1. First episode seemed like it was gonna be a bit of a dud but definitely pulls you in.
