For MC - its farken lottery. As said previously ive got a few futures at good odds including the fav but at $61 (not $67 as i incorrectly posted a few weeks back). The other futures are:
Avilius at $27
CIiffs of moher at $29
Magic circle at $24
Muntahaha at $33Had a couple of others but not running. I just throw expiring bonus bets at stuff like this when I've got nothing i'm liking at the time.
So what have I added recently? Best solution.
Ive boxed the 6 for the tri with a $50 bonus bet. Gets me 42% (of potentially nothing).
Lots of chat re cross counter and marmelo over recent few days. I dont like Marmelos last run, was all over the shop. Cross counter looks a decent type. Never run more than 2400m but that means bugger all given neither had almandin or rekindling, the last two winners. It's probably the one that worries me most out of the small amount of horses I've left out. I will probably end up on this horse at some point today.
Really interested to see how this race unfolds. I dont think there is a huge amount of pace so most horses should see out the distance. If it runs that way then Avilius will be in the finish along with Best Solution.

Just reminded myself never to run a work sweepstake again. I'm out by $20, people who have had FIVE days to enter are asking today if they can enter (despite the draw being done yesterday), and people continually asked if they could pick their horse. No, it's a fucking sweepstake, you twats.

@smudge haha well people in your office are only as smart as our PM who was offered a horse in the TV1 Breakfast sweep, and she tried to choose her horse too!

Cliffs of Moher has been put down after breaking down a few hundred metres into the race.....

Went to the TAB at my lunch break to smash Cross Counter, but left my card at home and only had $20 in my wallet. But $240 in the hand is better than most of my previous Melbourne Cup punts.

@mariner4life yea Im up slightly, I've started playing the numbers game a bit more than I used to, so picking up the odd win here and there to cover my bets but every even nower and thener I get one which puts me into the good.
But I'm still smalltime, still only bet small, no more than $5 per bet, I had to put a trigger on my account as I accidentally did a boxed first 4 home a week or so back, but forgot to % it and it cost me quite a few more dollars than I like to lose - wouldnt have been regretting it if the horse that came 6th had finished 4th...

Hope you have collected it @infidel pre posting that. Seen people post barcodes before and then go to collect and someone has already collected it for them! Nice multi tho!
Ended up for a small bet of cross counter during the day (as posted above) which was a saver at best.
Not only did sportsbet shit itself, but ladbrokes too. I heard the NZ tab app wasnt handling things too well either
I was out at Ellerslie. Had a few winners but hell the amount of roughies that get up in NZ races is crazy compared to aus. Kinda grates ya when the $8 shot you picked out (based on form) to beat the fav does nicely but runs second to some $42 donkey who hasn't been in the top 3 last 8 starts and the once a year punter next to you had $50 each way on
