In the best and most surprising news I have heard this week - Community has been renewed for a 6th season. By Yahoo???? I assume Yahoo are wanting to join Netflix, Hulu and Amazon as internet TV providers.

Either way I'm happy, this show is on my top 10 list of all time.
-

Yahoo is still a thing ? -

To bump this thread before it slips of the page, as I said above I've been watching Lost. I just watched the finale last night. I've been hearing/reading about how bad the finale was for a number of years now and I thought it was actually quite good - maybe my expectations weren't as high as the viewers who watched it back in the day? I thought the final scene was a bit cheesy, but hell, its TV what do you expect. But I enjoyed the resolution to that alternate timeline which was a storyline I enjoyed. By far the worst part of the final season (and the show as a whole) was the temple and anything related to the temple. Why are they seemingly in a scene from the end of Apocalypse Now? Also, it's bloody odd that an island in the Pacific has all these different people stumble upon it yet not one Pacific Islander - no Polynesians, no Micronesians, and no Melanesians.

I've decided that Lost sits in that top pantheon of TV shows for me - up with the good cable stuff. I burned through it much quicker than I thought as I kept watching two at a time and on the weekends I'd watch three of four. Pretty good for a show with lots of mystical shit in it, which I don't really get into.

Now I have to decide what to watch next - I have no more Walking Dead seasons as I'm getting them off a mate at the end of the month, for some reason I keep putting off Orange is the New Black ... maybe I should finally finish Masters of Sex which I'm about half way through.
-

What did everyone think of the final episode of Fargo? I can't understand why whenever Malvo shots someone they are only to happy to waste their last breath helping him with the lift code of telling him who sent them to kill him. My last words would be along the lines of "fuck "and "you" in that situation.

Nepia what series of Walking dead are you up to now?
-

I really enjoyed OITNB...

Started S2 The Americans and S1 Longmire (about ep 4 for both I think)
-

I've only seen the first, but I enjoyed that, so looking forward to watching the rest - I get them on the 22 July so soon.

Maybe I'll watch Fargo next. Thought the movie was shit but from all reports it's a different entity in the same universe.
-

What's Longmire like? I asked about it earlier in the thread but no one responded. I liked OITNB S1 but for some reason I just haven't been in the mood to watch S2 yet.
-

IMO S2 is a little more serious than S1...

Longmire seems pretty decent so far, just your small town Sheriff kind of series.
-

Oh, I preferred the show as a comedy than as a straight drama. I'm not sure I want serious ... even the book is more of a comedy.

For an obvious comparison I guess, how does Longmire compare with Justified?
-

Doesnt have the humour of Justified, but characters are starting to develop nicely. Not as good IMO, but then Justified is up there as one of my faves, so....I love the banter between Raylan and Boyd as well as alot of Raymans one liners

There was still the humour in S2 of OITNB, but there were some more serious storylines.
-

Didnt realise, but Penny Dreadful is only an 8 ep series, so I watched the finale without realising it was the finale...

Decent series, one of those ones I enjoy watching, but not a must watch!

Also Longmire is moving along nicely, has a some great tunes over it as well, plus Katee Sackhoff.
-

Did anyone else watch this latest season of 24?

I've watched the first three but then stockpiled up the remaining ones to binge watch. Is it worth it?
-

yea, it's not too bad. It's pretty good through the middle. But i want to talk about the ending, so finish it!

-

Finally got to watch True Detective (watched the first 2, then Mrs Mariner said she wanted in, and so i had to wait for her, fucking wimmen...)

Bleak that shit! loved the setting, added so much to the story. Have to say, i really enjoyed it, the writing was excellent, and it was great to have cop partners who don't feel the need to like each other.
Ok, so the ending. Yea, they got one fucked up murdering hillbilly. But it really fit with the rest of the show that the ending didn't wrap everything up, and there were still real bad guys out there. Do you think it was done purely so they could do a 2nd series? or did they just actually write a good ending?

Why did the writer have to make all the main women characters fucking crazy?
-
I don't think woody and mat are supposed to be in the next series so don't know if there will be continuity of stories
