Movie review thread...

@canefan No.
There is a description with the video:
To kick off the holiday season audiences of almost all ages will soon be able to enjoy the Merc with the Mouth’s reimagining of Deadpool 2 filtered through the prism of childlike innocence. "Fox has been asking for a PG-13 basically since the start in 2006," Ryan Reynolds told Deadline. "I've said no since 2006. Now, this one time, I said 'Yes' on two conditions. First, a portion of the proceeds had to go to charity. Second, I wanted to kidnap Fred Savage. The second condition took some explaining..." Fred Savage will join Reynolds in new scenes for ONCE UPON A DEADPOOL in an homage to Savage's starring role in the 1987 bedtime-story classic THE PRINCESS BRIDE. Fred remarked, “while my participation in this film was anything but voluntary, I am happy to learn that Fudge Cancer will be the beneficiary of this shameless cash grab” For every ticket sold, $1 will go to the charity Fudge Cancer - previously known as Fuck Cancer, who have graciously changed their name to be more PG-13 friendly for the 12 days of Once Upon A Deadpool’s release.

The Ballad of Buster Scruggs - a Coen brothers Netflix offering.
James Franco, Liam Neeson, Brendon Gleeson
It is half a dozen or so short stories, most of which are decent...although I think they missed a chance to link the stories as well.
3.5 hangings out of 5 armless folk

I'm glad you posted this, I would have been hugely pissed off when watching because the Netflix preview made it seem like one narrative not a bunch of shorts.
-
@nepia I had read the IMDB synopsis which said it was several short stories.
2 were really good stories (one with James Franco was really good, and the Goldminer was too, Liam Neesan one was odd)
There is singing.
I watched is over 3 nights I think (is over 2 hours)

Even for me this might be a little much:
ONE HEAT MINUTE is the podcast examining Michael Mann's 1995 crime saga HEAT, minute by minute.

@bovidae hmm not sure if that's going work for the old school fans, or appeal to everyone. I guess you don't fuck with mufasa. The kid voices would have broken well and truly! But sad to think we'll miss out on Rowan Atkinson and co... surely they can't mess with the songs or story!? Unless simba identifies as a queer meerkat!!

Simba will sound as cool as Lando.
Most of the actors in the new movie are black.

They Shall Not Grow Old
Peter Jackson's homage to his grandfather and to commemorate the centennial of the end of WWI. Amazing footage of war on the Western Front brought to life in colour. Sombre, emotional and a fitting tribute to those that fought in such miserable conditions.
really want to see this is it being released at mainstream theatre or more of a limited release?
