<p>Too bad it didn't come across like that on the TV show as that would have been convincing. I haven't read any of the books.</p>

<p>I am now going to have to hunt out an episode of Devious Maids as you appear to be such a fan.</p>

<p>They also wanted a certain amount of walkers around the fence of the prison to dissuade people from attacking it but not enough to tear the fence down. The governor attacked twice, the first time they ran out of bullet the second they mowed down the walkers with a tank and then smashed their way and ran out of ammo.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Nice try on the devious maids disassociation you can admit it. I won't judge you, I can't speak for everyone else here.</p> -

<div>Irish star Colin Farrell and US actor Vince Vaughn are to co-star in the second series of hit police drama True Detective, program makers announced.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Farrell will play a detective under the thumb of a mobster and Vaughn a career criminal in the award-winning show, US cable network Home Box Office (HBO) said, giving the first official details of the new series.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>The first series of True Detective, co-starring Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson on the hunt of a serial killer in Louisiana, was a critical and popular hit, winning five Primetime Emmy awards.</div>
<div> </div>
<div><strong>The new season will tell the story of "three police officers and a career criminal (who) must navigate a web of conspiracy in the aftermath of a murder,"</strong> HBO said in a statement.</div>
<div> </div>
<div> </div>
<div>Farrell will play Ray Velcoro, "a compromised detective whose allegiances are torn between his masters in a corrupt police department and the mobster who owns him."</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Vaughn meanwhile will play Frank Semyon, "a career criminal in danger of losing his empire when his move into legitimate enterprise is upended by the murder of a business partner."</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Filming on the eight hour-long episodes of the new series, expected to air next year, will begin in the next few months in California.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Farrell won a Golden Globe for 2008's In Bruges and was more recently seen in 2012's Total Recall and Saving Mr Banks last year.</div>

<div>Vaughn was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild award for 2007's Into the Wild and won a People's Choice award for 2006's The Break-Up.</div>

<p>I liked it, be interesting to see how they move it along in time toward Batman....</p> -
<p>So Californication has been on a bit here lately, think it's season 5 and 6, and have been watching a bit since I gave up at about season 3.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Anyway, the one question I can't get over with that show is how did two of the most attractive people (the ex-wife is an absolute stunner and not that I am an authority on these things but Duchovny does OK for himself) produce a daughter who is so plain? And she's just so whiny as well.</p>

<p>It's currently filling the same niche Entourage did for me, a bit of mindless Hollywood comedy/drama with plenty of sex, nudity, drugs and swearing. Pretty much a carbon copy of my life in suburban Sydney ;)</p>
