    In a just world, absolute shit like The Darkness would never have recorded an album and everybody would know Uncle Acid.

    bro

    I have listened to a lot of Uncle Acid since you put me on to them (even my kids like it)

    But the Darkness call was way harsh.

    Hater.

    Ordered me some Ozzy Osborne tickets the other day and have been listening to a fair bit since.

    As much as Ozzy's voice is sensational, I really enjoy Zakk Wylde guitar as well. It's sort of 80's hair metal crossed with heavy heavy stuff. REally looking forward to seeing live.

    @majorrage I saw Ozzy back in 1998 when he still had a decent voice (relatively speaking). Zakk was the guitarist then but I'm not a huge fan of his. I prefer the earlier albums.

    I went to see Sabbath a few years back as it was likely to be the last time they toured NZ. Ozzy would be fucked without his teleprompter.

    I just checked the setlist from the Ozzy concert I saw (The Ozzman Cometh tour) and I had forgotten how many BS songs he played - 6 out of 18 songs. Not that many Zakk-era songs either, 4 from No More Tears and only one song from Ozzmosis (I Just Want You). Hopefully his upcoming tour has more songs from the entire catalogue and less Sabbath songs.

    Speaking of concerts, I went to Living Colour's Vivid Anniversary gig during the week. Bloody fantastic to hear heaps of songs from that album which aren't played regularly. They are now in Aust so if you are a fan I would definitely recommend going.

    Went to Wu Tang last night in akld. Primo gig and def a bucket list moment. Never dreamed I'd get to see the full crew onstage, raekwon and method man were on fire. But everyone was good. Even old dirty's son did a good job of his lyrics and swagger. Good times!!

    As Marty Wilson-Piper rightly pointed out, Adrian Belew's wanna David Byrne lyrics/vocals killed 80's King Crimson, but they were still an incredible live band. Check out Fripp's solo in Absent Lovers.

    (song starts about 23 mins in)

    The promoter must have fired the sound engineer after the Christchurch gig. Worst sound of any gig I’ve ever been to

    @sammyc aw man, sorry to hear that. That is shithouse bro. Rap gigs live or die by the vocals. Always expect the bass to be turned up to 11 which makes it trickier to.

    @tim

    I saw them on Discipline and Three of a Perfect Pair tours and they were amazing; the latter is in my top ten shows. The mushrooms didn’t hurt. If you take the best of the Disciple-Beat-TOAPP trilogy you can make a pretty incredible cd.

    This is an awesome super-heavy tv appearance from 1967, with an introduction by Casey Kasem. Heavy Yardbirds influence. The song title kills me.
