They're like judder bars on the way to our middle order at the moment. It's one thing to get a peach but too often they get themselves out

As a Black Caps fan, I sometimes feel like a bloody Labrador. So optimistic of the world

Missed the whole day due to kids birthday parties, but was disappointed to see we chose to bowl first. Fast bowlers with too much influence. IMO Sri Lanka are ahead at the moment, we will need 400+ in our first dig to avoid having to chase a tricky total in the 4th innings.

Four straight tests have been won by the team bowling first at the basin. The pitch will flatten out but unlikely to take spin so any fourth innings target won't be tricky.
Bangladesh scored 500 batting first here last summer and we still ran them down.

I’ll be disappointed with anything less than 350.This pitch has become docile and will be so at least until day 4. I would be unhappy with anything less than 500.
Batting for 2 days should be the aim here.

He tends to do that after making a start. I'm happy enough with him because he is fairly consistent at blunting the new ball, but in order to be a great player he needs to start converting these starts into hundreds.
