Having seen her in clubs in Wellington 22 years ago I doubt it.

@mn5 is Oscar being a fluffybunny a recent thing? I’d forgotten about him until he was accusing all the people who were disappointed there was no Santa at the Santa parade of being racists.

Fuck I hate 'celebrity' grandstanding for some column inches.

It could have been any NZer who went on an OE in their early 20s, because travelling overseas in cities and countries you aren't familiar with, alongside people you don't know, always carries risks.

I'll be interested to hear the solutions these people come up with for fixing all of the broken people who are potential murderers, rapists, abusers.

"Men need to take responsibility" is frankly not going to cut it.

@chris-b I would be infinitely happier if the govt announced they were sinking $36m into bolstering mental health resources and services and targeted community outreaches rather than trying to send a few people into Pike River mine. Just saying.

Pike River is just starting to fuck me off now.

How many of our Granddads mates ( or in some cases our Granddads themselves ) were lost in the war never to return to NZ ? Unfortunately these things happen.

Again, a fucken tragedy but I think entering the mine is a colossal waste of money and an unnecessary risk.

The day ain't over yet. Being a straight white male it's inevitable you'll probably rape someone before tea time.

I had a cheeky wee rape this morning, and I've felt so ashamed today. I'd gone a good six months rape free, (except for the odd one at a party, but everyone was doing it) and I'd really turned the corner and thought I'd gotten all the raping cravings out of my system.

Oh well, I'm rape free from here on. I know I've got the willpower to do it and I just need to think "men have to be better!"

Pray for me peeps, support me. Giving up raping is harder than it looks

    😀

This is a horrible article from Alison Mau, she really is a narcissistic piece of work.

    A couple of things:

    1. Does she really think the court orders name suppression against the family's wishes? Name suppression is granted you fucking idiot, in cases like this usually to protect children.
    2. With that in mind she actually went to the crime scene to try and find out more. Wow.
    3. She thinks Grace Milane only got so much attention because she is white. Given half the hysteria around this case has been from her, her feminist sisters and our PM politicising the hell out of it, maybe check with them why this one mattered so much?
    4. She actually notes that Maori and Pacific Island women are more likely to be victims. Just needs to take one more step and she'll get to the elephant in the room that @jegga noted. But she won't, because it won't suit her bullshit narrative.

There is more bullshit points she makes which are easily pulled apart but that will do for now.

I think this is one of the worst, most ill-thought out articles I've ever read.

I wonder how many column inches her death is still getting in England?

The politicising and grandstanding of some opinionists in our local 'media' is pathetic and getting extremely shameful.

It's been shameful since day one, I'm genuinely staggered it's still going on though.....we've had a solid fucken week of it! Enough already.

Look mate, scandals involving the prime minister being linked to a Czech drug dealing hells angels associate who is currently in prison and who’s ex wife is so afraid of him she’s in hiding in a safe house don’t get out of the news cycle by themselves. Until she can get some photos up online of Baby Neve in her first Xmas outfits this has to do .

She's probably booked Neve in to see Santa this week, with her PR team in tow
