Point Break is terrible. Somehow the remake is worse, which I believe breaks a law of physics.

You are dead to me .

    Dead .

@Nepia I'm like that with Shawshank, half hour to go I end up watching it!

    Dead .

Keanu's acting is so bad it gave Swayze cancer.

Point Break was a cool 1990s action movie, but definitely of its time. I remember seeing it on the big screen on release. T2 was the best of the action movies that year, of course.

Sadly, my visit to Bells was uneventful as no waves at all.

That wasn’t Bells, it was in the states I think .

Greatest action film ever. Kathryn Bigelow is a goddess.

Not even in my top 10. That list would have to include (in no particular order)

    Die Hard
    Terminator 2
    Aliens
    Raiders of the Lost Ark
The Matrix. At least this Reeves film was a revelation in it's time
    Rambo
Commando (quite corny but you had to be there to fully appreciate it's genius)

I watched Rambo and Matrix again on the plane. Both are excellent movies. Stallone can act, Crenna's hammy Colonel routine is the low point.

Trinity and the effects are the best part of Matrix.

I'd probably slot SW ep4 in there purely for it's influence. It was a great film and I guess you can call it an action film?

Anyone who can supposedly narrow a movie list down to a top 5 needs to watch more fucken movies. Plain and simple.

Or separate them into very specific categories....

    For example.

    Top five Clint Eastwood flicks

Good the bad and the ugly
    Dirty Harry
    Gran Torino
    Outlaw Josey Wales
    Unforgiven
    Fistful of Dollars
    Coogans Bluff
    Thunderbolt and Lightfoot
    Magnum Force
    High Plains Drifter

....and as if to prove my own point my top 5 became 10.....and some very good flicks missed out too.

    @canefan

I've re-watched a few others from the 1990s this year:
    The Rock
    Con Air

Jerry Bruckheimer just pumped them out in that decade.

I'd put Leon/The Professional in my top 10 action movies.

    Couldn't agree more.

What an absolute overrated piece of shit of a movie. I don't like the Matrix much either.

I think Keanus best 'work' is either Bram Stokers Dracula or Bill and Teds. Not sure which. It does show his range at least....

As far as other Arnie movies I'd put Predator near the top.

@MN5 JOhn Wick is up there as Keanu's best work.

I've only seen about half those movies of your dream man Clint!

You need to stay in more.

@taniwharugby John Wick 3 is out next year, I saw footage of him shooting bad guys in the head while he was riding on horseback through Central Park.

I know that can’t really compete with an effete Pom who can’t act or pull off a convincing action scene dropping dad jokes and puns but.....

I’m not proud to admit I got a boner watching this

@MN5 I'll take your word for it..I watch enough shite without going back to the 70s-90s to watch some of that stuff too...

Just watched Cobra with TR Jnr...Brigette Neilsen was pretty tidy back in the day, Sly said about twice as many words as he did in all the Rambo movies combined!

Yeah it's a pretty safe bet I'm not gonna be sitting through an interview that's about as long as Scott's Dads greatest western.
