The future of Twitter is becoming clearer. Rather than free format text they’ll just offer a dropdown list of approved tweets. Experienced users will be able to learn shortcuts for 1-click tweets. Makes sense, a like these days is like a medal in competition, unfair to everyone else if some tweets get them an others don't especially considering its probably just the product of a white supremacist cis-normative capitalist patriarchy

Mainstream media get fark all likes and retweets these days, it's the alt-media types that go viral. The cynic in me thinks removing likes is a good way to make it harder for people they don't agree with politically to gain as much traction as they do.
