Am sure it has it's positives (and negatives) like everywhere else.

If anyone can give me one genuine positive about Palmy my flabber will be absolutely ghasted

I flew kiwi air out of there once, they wouldn’t let you leave till you’d paid a $20 fee . Talk about a bargain.

Actual headline should read “ virtue signallers in predictable twitter pile on over fairly innocuous comment “.

Haha the wife said he was going to cop it for that. Was pretty obviously tongue-in-cheek, people need to get a grip.

    It makes Hamilton look cosmopolitan....

Or you could adopt the defence Hamiltonians use when asked about the positives of their burg - it's close to lots of good stuff

Clearly someone who hasn't lived in both Palmy and Hamilton. Not even in the same ball park ...

Interestingly Palmy used to be the per capita strip club winner in NZ for a long time - most likely due to army, air force and uni back when it was easy days for students.

Ah - actually, I just realised that sums up Palmy so well... both those things, and every other candidate I could think of... were actually shit, but cheap.

    Palmerston North: Shit, but Cheap.

I lived in the tron in 96 for a bit ( shudders )

It has a river. It's ok.

    Tron > Palmy

@jegga definitely, the article says she lives near Palmy, based on the numerous posts above this, why would she be near Palmy?

I didn’t pick up any mention of a father/fathers for her kids. They obviously wisely did a runner

Will be looking out for a followup story.

Comments are interesting, something about a Labour pledge not to take state housing away from people who no longer qualify also increasing number of landlords getting out of the game because of bad tenants and laws that don't help protect their asset. Anyone know if any of that is true?

All true , Labours also said they will strengthen tenants rights and want to take away the ability to ring fence losses from rentals against the owners income .

If you’re a feral with a horde of offspring you are going to be shit out of luck finding a rental .

It's funny how they don't factor this into their decisions..it's almost as if they have no concept of economics and live in some utopian dreamworld...

Or no business experience and or an antipathy towards business.

For a start the pms background in the private sector is working one night a week at a fish and chip shop.

@canefan Not sure how having sex when you don't feel like it is 'outstanding advice'. Women - and men - are allowed to be not in the mood, and sex as a chore is what kills it.
