Fox 8 is showing season 2 of Strike Back. God it's trashy but I love it. Titties, terrorism and ethnic types getting shot in the mother fucking face

<p>Enjoying Orphan Black season 2 for different reasons to season 1.</p>

<p>Season 1 was great on the back of Maslany showcasing her ability and the setting up of the story premise. Now that Maslany's acting is taken for granted and the clone story could get complicated just for the sake of drawing it out, the producers have IMO been very clever in tweaking the show to include some fun scenes along the way.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Sarah and Helena taking a road trip and singing badly in the car was a brilliant scene. The re-introduction of Vic the dick and the whole Maslany acting as Sarah pretending to be Alison was mind boggling but hilarious at the same time.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>This swinging from light to dark (with Donny in the final scene) is keeping the show as a really interesting watch irrespective of the storyline.</p>

<p>Think Helena is awesome! The final ep with 4 of them dancing was quite funny, not sure what to make of the newest addition to the sisters....</p>

<p>I'm clearly very late to the partyy, but I've started watching Friday Night Lights. Its fucking awesome. I don't even like american football (you really don't have to). Best thing is there's 5 seasons of it & I'm only halfway thru season 1</p>

<p>The book the movie was based on is great reading too, I'm totally uninterested in american football but the behind the scenes story of the team is interesting and the pressure on the coach from the locals, the pressure on the players to get scholarships and keep the teams legacy alive add to the story. The city the show is set in was once described as "the armpit of america" and came last in most areas of a survey of US cities.</p> -

<p>Season Two is a bit meh due to Network Exec interference (they wanted the show more teen and soapy), but after that, the res of the seasons are as strong as the first.</p> -

<p>This whole season of SOA has been a big pile of shit. The only reason I am watching is I have 6 years invested. If the first season had been this crap, I would have stopped watching. Ditto for the meandering last season of Boardwalk. While not as bad, it really flamed out rather than going out on top.</p>

<p>Walking Dead on the other hand, fantastic. I am started to get psyched for the final season of Justified starting in January.</p> -
Yea I know that, [spoiler] but it is a bit different watching a porn movie being made than one of your best mates with his girl over the bonnet of a cop car in a carpark....actually aside from it being one of his best mates, that is very pornlike...but still... ;)<br><br>

<p>yea, i agree with this. Every other season has had a point, but this just seems to be meandering along to what better be a big finish. I thought maybe it was just my impatience to see where it was going to go, but maybe they just haven't got it right. </p> -

<p>From what I've read this is not strictly true, the show runners actually had most of the ideas and the absolute worst one of S2 was originally a S1 story that they put off.</p>

<p>Great show, even though S2 is a dip some of the later eps in that season have some great scenes etc.</p>
