    Riccitelli

According to Wiki Riccitelli is heavier than Parsons and the same height and heavier than Funnell (if we are to believe wiki's 'facts').

    I stand corrected 🙂

He looks like a shrimp the few times I’ve seen him play live.

Still don’t want him at the crusaders tho. He’s been part of a Wellington tight 5 we’ve beaten up several times in the last couple of years.

Riccitelli is a battler, but a bloody good battler at that. Would happily have him in my squad over the likes of Funnell who is probably the worst lineout thrower in NZ and Parsons who is on par in the battler standards. Plus he has the best name in NZ rugby.

Results preseason games (Sat 26 January 2019):

            Brumbies 52 - 38 Rebels (played in 3 periods)
(Toni Pulu started for the ponies in the 14 jersey & Murray Douglas came off the bench; Michael Ruru & Quade Cooper were the Rebels' halves combo & Beaudein Waaka started at fullback. Btw, I understand from his instagram that he's only there for preseason & doesn't have a contract (yet).)

            Bulls 21 - 17 Lions
(New signing, former Blitzbok Specman started on the left wing for the Bulls)

Both sides had a bench of about twenty eleven. It was still 38 degrees at kickoff and I may have had a few beers to keep hydrated in the heat, but neither side showed anything remotely like recognisable patterns that weren't pods of three forwards. And both sides either have great/ bad scrums, or the ref was guessing/ trying to keep it even.

@Tim He'd be number 1 at the Blues if Umaga didn't sign up Parsons and Apisai.

Christian Lealiifano has been named as the Brumbies Captain for the 2019 Super Rugby campaign.

The outstanding flyhalf, who was co-captain alongside lock Sam Carter in both 2017 and 2018, will take on the armband in a sole capacity for the new season.
