Based on DRS referral choices, Williamson is unlikely to do a Chris Gaffaney when he retires...

    @Siam Gah!

That over we just got 10 off was important. Calm Kane down.

We only really need to push it around to have four an over off 30 overs - as long as wickets are in hand.

    Then 170 off 40 overs.

Need these two to take it deep.

    That was just rubbish, Kane.

Threw it away - probably the game as well!

You got a whiff of a BC’s implosion?

It’s still there for the taking, but It’ll take some sensible batting for the next 15 overs to get us there.

@Gunner It is a long way out to be four down, including most of our "solid" players.

Latham and Williamson were going along so nicely according to my schedule - we had a lot of batting to get us home in the last 10 overs if those two had just pushed it around and kept it on the deck through to 40 overs.

It's like they got Dhoni out at 18/4 and just expected another Hamilton to fall into their laps...

    Now Latham.

    We really are fucked.

Need all our allrounders to chip in with 30 or 40 each... not likely.

Neesham did better than me - I thought it might have pitched outside leg!

On the plus side, you get to join the Kane Williamson club 🙂

@nzzp he missed that by miles. From the first ball against the spinners looked out of his depth. Plants front foot early and swings.

Bring back Sri Lanka, I much prefer watching us be the bullies than watch us be bullied.

I think this has been the most enjoyable match though - the result has actually be in question for a fair bit of it. The last 4 have been pretty one sided

I think this game shows that we need a genuine third seamer and that neither de Grandhomme nor Neesham are up to that role. Neesham might be a fifth opinion, especially if there is a sixth (Kane or Munro the obvious candidates).

Neesh has his eye in. Long way to go but he's really shown his value with the bat this year.

Good chance for Santner to step up in a pressure situation. Just needs to nurdle it around at the moment.

That about sums up the "mental strength" of recent Black Caps performances nicely.

    Thick as pig shit.
