I know I am seeing this from a viewpoint out in the big bad world but what is it with the continual fascination in NZ with Viagogo.
It is quite obvious to anyone with half a brain that Viagogo (and similar) are ticket resale sites and a simple google search will also tell you to be very 'buyer beware'.
They are certainly a dodgy AF company in the way they dodge complaints and legalities and there is good reason they are based in Switzerland but the only people that get 'ripped off' are those that don't think before spending money. Govt bodies keep scrambling to protect the stupid from themselves.
I have purchased tickets via them in complete knowledge of their practices and have been lucky. Even spent a load on a weekend in Edinburgh for the rugby taking the risk that it wouldn't pan out. They do serve a purpose and as a purchaser I am happy to assess the risk/reward as many others do. -
@Crucial His tickets won’t get him in if he’s in Hastings. The concert is in Taradale. If he goes there he should be fine. Seriously the gate staff are a bunch of kids with barcode scanners on their phones. They are more concerned about booze being taken in than anything else.
