@Tim haha that was awesome! Right down to the scrum/ruck noises. Reckon the league game was more playable though.

This just gave me a warm fuzzy feeling. I'm sure this was a built in game on the Sega master system we had before the mega drive and I was yoooung at the time. Can still remember the music and he was a bastard to control when swimming.
What defines classic anyway age wise?

    Feel ashamed, very ashamed.

Ahhh, many a blurry Sunday wasted with the boys having "tournaments". Good Times.

always good fun to have a run with Jonah and see how many hand offs you could do.

Get over the try line and turn around for another blat back the other way.

Whenever I see that game tough, all I think is "Laksanasompong!"

Sri Lankan ? What a player.

Another trick was to try and get every single AB to get a try against a shit team. Not sure I ever managed it. Olo Brown and Craig Dowd always let me down.

I hope not Bill. that's the maternity ward.

A Scottish cousin of mine met Bill McLaren. in a classic case of 'never meet your heroes' he said it was an extremely painful experience and he was one of the most grumpy, cantankerous pricks imaginable.

    Still a commentary legend though.

@Tim I think the version we had was called Campese Rugby. I'd always play as Samoa and put Timo Tagaloa at 10 and just have him smash and run his way down field.

@antipodean yes, going to use MAME for most games, and Stepmania for dancing games (currently got an aftermarket soft pad but want to build my own metal one)
