Gayle scored 135 off 129 deliveries. Included 12 sixes and 3 fours. In other words, he scored 84 off 15 balls, and 51 off the other 114 at a strike rate well under 50.

Judging by the ease England ran down the total I'm going to say Gayle is lazy as fuck and cost the Windies that game.

Cracking last day set up in Port Elizabeth. SA need 8 wickets to save face and draw their series at home.
Sri Lanka need 137 to sweep the series 2 nil, after been sent on an arduous 3 tour quest to earn some money for the cricket board to further embezzle and squander.

Only England and Australia have ever won a test series in South Africa. Would be quite a feat for a team that got put through the ringer in NZ and Aus this summer.

Lots of wickets on this pitch so it'll be 3 hours or enthralling test cricket

Agree Gayle is a bit of a plodder when he is not hitting boundaries, would be interested to see how many dot balls he uses up or how many singles he bothers to run. Looks like he has done it again in tonights match.

Aussie girls managed to somehow pull victory from the jaws of defeat against NZ in Perth yesterday.

@Siam If Sri Lanka win, pretty sure NZ go up to second in the test rankings.

However, if SA win, we need to beat the Bangles 3-0 to get to second.

he's way too cool to get stressed and try and run quick singles.

There's a major variable here. It's a day five scenario on a day three pitch.

Anyone else ever read the true story of Ntini's alleged rape case?
He's commentating and apart from his, no real insights/excitable role, he makes my skin crawl

South Africa are for the taking at the moment. Great effort from Sri Lanka to go there and be competitive. The problem is if you make your pitches crazy bouncy with lots of grass you turn average bowlers into world class ones. Maybe South Africa will re-think their approach. Some of their bowlers have averages close to 20 at home but Rabada for instance averages about 28 away from home.

If South Africa lose here, a 2-0 win versus Bangladesh should take us second in the world.

Very good batting from Mendis and Fernando (O). Very impressed, played straight and looked good doing it

How is Steyn performing? Bit surprised by his lack of wickets in this match

Not sure if anyone's following, but England and Windies are going nuts at St Georges

Windies set 419 to win, they need antoher 187 at 7s, with 6 wickets in hand. Monster 6s all day, it's just nuts. Anyone know if the ground is 'NZ' sized?

also, Gayle doing his 'good Gayle' impression; 127 off 66 so far. Insanity.

    Edit:
Mark Wood’s figures are 6-0-34-4. The rest have combined figures of 18-0-195-0.

Hear Butler got to fifty then got his next hundred runs in 32 balls or something!!

Morgan with a 'slow' hundred in 88 balls!

Would be amazing to watch a game like that - essentially 50 over 20/20!
