@jegga yeah I liked Last Train to Busan...I dont mind sub-titles anymore, I tend to turn them on for most things nowadays to counteract the mumbling and low voice volume they produce things in these days.
Finished Titans, felt very much like an entree as they are setting up for a multi-season thing.
Was pretty decent, although I do struggle a bit with the multiple DC Universes and who is who in them (ie Dick Grayson is Robin and Boy Wonder, but also Nightwing, while Damon Wayne is also Robin)
Started Safe with the wife, only 2 eps in but is pretty good, kinda in the Broadchurch kinda groove, with Michael C Hall (aka Dexter) as the lead.

@Nepia Punisher is a stand alone series, you dont need to see him in Daredevil. As you expect, violent, I havent started S2 yet.
I think it would have made a bit more sense to me to have seen Daredevil 2 actually - there were a lot of strands of what happened that I was unsure about.
But anyway, I found that an extremely tiresome watch and I guess it confirms that the Marvel TV shows on Netflix are not for me. There is so much filler and weird storylines that actually don't need to be there. I got to Ep 10 thinking it would be finishing up yet it continued on for three more episodes.
There were some good action scenes but there was too much boredom surrounding them for me.
:::
I kind of wish they didn't go down the best mate is the bad guy route, it was so obvious from the start that I assumed they were actually going to trick us and he wouldn't have been the bad guy.
Weird how the pasty lawyer just disappeared from the show after the hotel shootout episode.

@Nepia are we talking about Punisher?
I am 6 episodes in to season 1. It's not bad, but not amazing either.
And yea, that "twist" was predictable as fuck, you knew it right from the start.
Yep, I just finished S1 - I wont bother with S2 ... but as I said the Marvel Netflix shows aren't really my bag for some reason.

It's hard to believe it's Marvel considering how fucked up he gets every 2nd episode.

That's actually one of the things that most makes it feel Marvel (i.e. comic booky) to me - as he is almost indestructible. He's on his death bed in one episode and then taking out baddies the next and the time frame in the show isn't even a few days.

He sounds just like Hood from Banshee. He'd get beaten, stabbed and electrocuted but after a night of whisky and rooting he'd be right as rain the next day.

I've started S2 of Punisher, just as a filler series, is ok, much of a muchness with S1.
@Nepia I guess having seen DD, I didnt see alot in Punisher that required linking, but I guess if you havent you would notice more?
Also finished Manhunt, with Martin Clunes, whihc is a mini-series based on the true story of the hunt for killer following the murder of a French student Amélie Delagrange at Twickenham green in 2004.
Was a decent watch.

Yeah, there were times when I was wondering if something had been explained in DD. Although at times I wasn't sure if they were slowly building to more revelations as the show went on, but I couldn't really tell. Was the family stuff included/explained? I assume Castle interacted with the pasty girl a lot in DD.
Anyone know if Mindhunter will be back soon?
-
@Nepia Castle did interact with her a bit, but not alot, just she works with DD so thats how that connects.
I cant recall, but I thought the family stuff was in S1 of Punisher...maybe both series merged in my mind, although the story is known anyway?
Am gonna watch a new series called The Widow, cos Kate Beckinsale.

The story is tweaked a bit from the comics. Maybe the info they gave us in The Punisher was all there is? I don't know not seeing DD2.
I don't have the Fern's obsession with Beckinsale so will need to read up on what it's about first.
-
@Nepia we all have different tastes.
Yeah been so long since i watched the movie version of The punisher, basic premise isnt too different; they killed his family, he gon' kick some arse.
Revenge is the basis of many a movie/series
