meh, rotten tomatoes...

I'll wait for 3 eps to give it a crack!

Anyone watched Lost girl? Sounds decent with some hot looking female leads...
-

Raylan, Boyd, Ava, Wynona, Art, and lets not forget Dewey Crowe are all back starting today for their last hurrah

That was worth the wait, looks like it's building to a messy confrontation . -

I just got around to watching Top of the Lake. Hmm, what to say? It was definitely style over substance for me. I'm not saying it was bad but it wasn't the show the critics raved about at the time it came out.

The narrative was pretty off some of the time, the characterisation was all over the show at other times, and the tone didn't seem realistic. I can see why US TV critics went bonkers over it because it seemed unique and a lot deeper than what it actually was.

Aside from her accent Moss was pretty decent. Holly Hunter was just bonkers. I'm not sure why they couldn't have found a Kiwi actor to play David Wenham's role so at least one of the leads was a Kiwi.

The absolute stupidest thing about the show was making her character Sydney based. If she was Auckland based then it's entirely believable that she's been seconded for this case while down there, but being an Oz cop is stretching it a bit.
-

I assumed that was to explain her messed up accent. I'm a kiwi, have lived overseas for 15 years & now when I'm home people ask me where I'm from in Australia. I've spent 2 weeks in Australia in my life.

For all the 24 fans, or more importantly Eliza Cuthbert fans, I assumed this was a joke, but nope its a real series coming in March. Hard to express how sad this looks

Yeah, that really doesn't look very good ... but Cuthbert was pretty funny in Happy Endings.

I guess it could explain the accent, it doesn't explain Al's though.
-

Happy Endings was one of the best sitcoms of the last few years, I really loved that.

That was a great show. On paper a show with Eliza Cuthbert and Kelly Brook in it should be worth watching, but if they crammed all the best bits of the show into the trailer I doubt it.
-

The debaucherous adventures of Hank Moody were great to the last, made even better by the inclusion of the beautiful Heather Graham to the cast. Nicely finished off, I will miss him...

I may have drunkenly mentioned this earlier in the thread, but I kind of stumbled upon this by accident on Netflix and very quickly got addicted. Finished the whole series in a couple months, up there with Breaking Bad, The Wire and Generation Kill. -

They screened the last 2 episodes from Season 4 on Imax in the States followed by this trailer, not sure its been officially released online yet.
-

Ok. Saved up the first 3 eps of Banshee S3 to watch together and it was well worth it.

Love this show. excess violence, excess titties, great characters. Who cares about the storyline.

The most OTT fight scene ever on TV has to be the one at the start of Ep3.
-

I think they've gone back in time and got me and a couple of my other 14 year old mates to write this show after watching cheesy direct to video action movies from the 80s. It's bonkers.

I for one was pissed off at the outcome of that bonkers fight. Keep the hot ones around you numb nuts.

One thing that does annoy me is the silly intercutting of scenes. Just do a scene then go to the next.
-

I think that's the general idea. It's not meant to be complex or challenging. Cartoon figures in cartoon action.

As for the hotties, as long as they replace them with new eye candy then I have no issue
The cameo appearance of the fat fucker bad guy was a crack up. The whole scenario served no purpose except for Hood to get onside with the FBI guy.
-
