Savea is having a strong season so far. He has to, to make up for the weaknesses in our pack. A win is a win

Savea is having a strong season so far. He has to, to make up for the weaknesses in our pack. A win is a win

Yup at toulon he started at 6. Their owner was a visionary.

The reffing is pretty average in this match. To go with all the ones already mentioned Lam just pulled a player out of the way to get the ball when he almost scored.

@canefan The three weaknesses in that Canes starting pack were the two journeyman props (Eves and Toomaga Allen) & Blackwell. Blackwell still isn't big enough to be a lock and I hope he is replaced by that Safa lock moving forward. Mitchell has impressed me though and he will only get better. His playing style is like a younger and slightly shorter Sam Whitelock.

The pack will scare no one. But we've never had the most dominant pack in the comp, ever. All we can hope for is to get as close to parity as possible to give our backs a chance to win the game

Yeah I know, I'm using finger sweeping typing, when I did nisbo (without picking individual letters) the in built dictionary gave me Tony. And I didn't check

@canefan if the Canes get parity the odds of us winning sky rocket. We just need to find 3 or 4 hard nosed props and a couple big boffa locks and we will be away laughing.

Re - Jordie I personally think now with the benefit of hindsight ,
Too much too young has been thrown his way , in the way of glowing media attention before he had hardly played a game , selection in the ABs very young etc etc
Maybe he would’ve been better off being allowed to ease into things , step by step , do his apprenticeship gradually, and allowed to tick the boxes one at a time , in the way most young players do.
Might be wrong but got a feeling the abs may cut him loose this year and allow him to go back and do that

He also played the house down on debut against the Lions which took the hype to the next level. He just needs to go back to basics for a while and make sure he's nailing the core parts of his role, the other stuff will come naturally with confidence.
