What a load of rubbish. It’s how Wagner gets his wickets, so why would he stop?

I can’t imagine Kane ever saying ‘sorry Wags, you’ve got to keep the ball pitched up today, they don’t like the short stuff.’

They’re not playing under 11 c grade on a Saturday morning FFS!!!

Am I mistaken or is there no rule that says you can't bowl into the body or at head height? Reason should stick to stick ball

Can bowl 2 above shoulder height per batsman per over.

Wagner is aiming more chest/rib height, skiddy with his stature.

I was being sarcastic. Wagner is totally within the rules and his schtick is nothing compared to the antics the aussie quicks used to pull

So many times in recent memory the black cap bowlers have seemed absolutely toothless against apparently sub par opposition. It must be a worry going forward🤷‍♂️

Another basin reserve road. Too easy for batting. Batsmen's paradise. Groundsmen have a lot to answer for.

    Etc etc.

@Damo I'd lean more towards a poor first hour or so from the BCs. I think they just assumed they'd be in the wickets, and weren't able to tighten up after the first 5-6 overs. Real dumb cricket.

So the proposed Basin Reserve flyover has instead been built through the middle of the ground...

Yes they're not making the batsman play enough.

Looking a bit better now, but they're still able to leave too much.

Has also been good batting. Good positive stuff from the Bangles.

Bangladesh feeling generous today. Twice Wagner had the batsman given out, but then overturned on DRS, only to immediately get a pretty similar dismissal the next delivery.

Both teams have reasons to be happy and reasons to be frustrated at lunch. Bangladesh probably the slightly happier of the two, but that last wicket probably the difference between them clearly winning the session and them just edging the session.

Wagner should really stop using he short ball. 3 wickets in 4 overs, that’s just not cricket.
    Those poor Bangladeshi’s

It's about as dishonest as the underarm ball. Disgusting

It's a flat pitch covered in grass. We haven't utilised the conditions at all well, but it's probably not quite as bad for batting as it looks.

Tamim is in great form and we have to give him some credit for putting our bowlers on the back foot with some really positive batting. Very impressive. Boult in particular got frustrated which is not like him.

Problem now for the Bangles is they fall away badly. Rolling them for 200 odd is on the cards again despite Tamim's efforts.

Geez Ewen Chatfield is a strange bloke with awkward social skills.

I’ve just realised this is the first time I’ve ever heard him speak.

Those Bangladeshi 9, 10 and 11 make a mockery of test level and professional cricket. That Bangladesh has had ample time and money to take advantage of that huge population, raises many questions.

On a positive note, Chats is a legend. Early 1990s Hutt Valley had a Hawke cup challenge in Nelson. On the Saturday night I joined the Valley boys on the traditional night out. Chats was playing (40 something?) and was pouring through the jugs. Bloody witty, but it took a bit to adjust to his understated way of talking. Obviously the young lads were on the strut and prowl but Chats got heaps of attention from, well now days they're called milfs. An abiding highlight of my sad life recalls us all striding down the middle of Hardy St at 2 am with Chats calling out my name and asking " how far to the strip club!"

And no, no shenanigans from Chats, he's too classy for that, he was just out being a team man.

    Great bloke
