NZ being mean to Aussie by not letting have the ball much. 36-7 with time up on the clock.

@Stargazer don't they just need to win? They have the best points difference by far.

After watching this game, I'm not sure "just winning" this game will be that easy.

    Well it was....

Just watched the Spain game. Thought Spain played pretty well. Pretty good line speed.

7s reffing is a total lottery. Seemed some baffling decisions both ways.

Good one Spain. They look pretty sharp from what I've seen last couple of tournaments, and often just lack that final bit of polish to get the job done against more established sides.

The Aussies however are inconsistent in their decision making. France harried then well and we made crucial errors with our lack of composure. "Rocket" Rod Davies is a dud

    FT: NZ 24 - 26 Spain

Too many missed tackles, shit officiating. Not sure whether Spain deserved the win, because several of their tries came after bad decisions from the ref. However, a well-playing AB7s team would have won anyway.

Spain is one of the strongest of the upcoming nations; good for the game to have a new country joining the top and giving strong competition to the usual favourites.

    Is Spain this year's Kenya?

@booboo This year's Fiji is not quite the same as last year's, but always good for a surprise. Good or bad.

They smashed Samoa and Kenya, but lost to Canada.

@booboo I wouldn’t be banking on this Fiji side.

We have looked pretty good so far this tournament even with the loss to Spain. I thought we would’ve won had we not got that card.

For context, NZ up by 3 points or something, 20 seconds to go and in position just under 40m out from the Fijian line. Koroi runs across, gets scragged so decides to throw a weird one hander, drifts forward into Fijian hands.

Annnnd England blow a 19 point lead to lose to USA. Someone check the in game betting.

    Just saying.

I just had visions of NZ holding a slim lead, making a fuck up and Fiji running in the winning try from 90m after the siren.

Should have put money on it.

Seems like so much deja vu on this series. Had a second look at ref's call in last minute England v USA when I thought England may have earned turnover penalty.

NZ got away with several casual/imprecise efforts from Ravouvou v Fiji, before Koroi's error. Otherwise we looked veyr good I thought. Just unlucky that the last second error counted that badly.

    The AB7s just beat Argentina 26 - 21 in the 5th place semi-final.

The 5th place play-off is at 1.07pm against England.
