@Catogrande He really should have started a few more second stringers, No 9 for a start. Basically you can bash a very poor team (see ABs B team last year) with a big back line. But apart from that?? I agree this was a wasted 'learnings' opportunity, but maybe Eddie wants confidence more than 'learnings'

Eddie would probably argue he tried a few new things, certainly combo-wise but yeah if he was going for a learning opportunity, he missed it.

Looking back at the highlights though George's looped pass for Tuilagi's second try was bloody good for a fat hooker. I'd forgotten that.

Grew up in Surrey. Dutch Dad. Has a Dutch passport, I think.

You can't hold dual nationality with a Dutch passport, so that'd mean he doesn't have a British passport

Scotland willing, created a bit, but just too slow to finish anything off.

Wales did well when under the pump with 10 to go to settle themselves and take back control. They are a composed side.

It looked like possibles vs probables in a grade trial. Wales with good patience and resolute defence. Going to be very interesting watching Ireland travel to the Millenium Stadium.

    A brutal, low scoring war

BBC are reporting if Wales win next weekend, then Warren Garland would be the first coach to win three Grand Slams. They are half right, he would be the first Five/Six Nations coach to achieve three Grand Slams.

Sir Graham Henry coached the All Blacks to three Grand Slams on the 2005, 2008 and 2010 tours of the British Isles.

I know it's not your point but that doesn't really matter unless you're trying to play in the Olympics. (Which again is a bugbear of mine in that some countries are quite happy to be flexible in their citizenship criteria to hand out passports. In some ways the clearly defined IEB/WR criteria make more sense. )

Anyway, he's bloody Dutch. Fucking poachers ... đŸ™‚

Yes but Wales haven’t played Wales yet. Let’s see what happens then...

France are terrible. Ireland are a fairly cheat-y side. Slow to roll away at the ruck and systematic blocking on the kick return. But they will crush France unless they can compete in the forwards.

@Billy-Tell pretty cheeky of them to be constantly badgering the ref about the ball being out of the ruck when France keep playing it back as far as possible, just like Ireland do.

I don't know what France were doing fuking around on their own line and delaying the clearing kick for anyway. Deservedly punished. Seriously when is there going to be promotion relegation. France are just so shit.

I think you’ll probably find Australia might be against relegation đŸ˜‰

    @Bones

Think the reffing in this 6N has been refreshingly good so far this year.

Thought the ref in the Jocks-Taffs game yesterday was excellent..

The bonus point system has been a real positive for the 6N's.

Looking forward to the Taffs v Oirish fandango on Saturday. Think the Jocks might struggle away at Twickenham.
