That pitch, looks like an artificial pitch down the local club thats been well used. Ridiculous.
Great batting by Ross & KW this morning. I'd bring in CDG next, we should bat until mid to late Session 3.

Yeah great call, another opportunity to smash a quick score, pad the average and piss off all the ferners who don't want him in the team

Taylor on 94 at over 100 strike rate. Clearly wants his ton before lunch.

How good is it when a Black Cap number 5 comes out with a 43.84 average ?

Still reckon they should have had CDGH and Southee after him though....

Should probably fess up and take some blame for that wicket.

In between flights so just sat down to watch Rossco hopefully get to his tonne... and that happened.

Pretty bloody good, I’ve had to wait a lifetime to see just how good it is though.

Who else used to be in the "anyone but Nicholls" fan club? I think I was a brief member!

So happy that those in the know stuck with him!

@Hooroo yeah I was. Really early on he looked terrible to anything just short of a length out side off. Looked determined but limited.

I thought the same seeing Hashim Amla...

There's a lesson in there about being too hasty to judge, but I'm buggered if I'm going to heed it.

Yep, I'll own up to that. I wonder if it's the danger of players getting hyped up too early. Ian Smith telling Channel Nein viewers that a scratchy looking Nicholls 'reminded him a bit of AB' (just before his dismissal yet again on that tour) reconfirmed me into the "anyone but Nicholls club" for too long.

Leslie Murdoch has just stated that RT and HN are not only good batsmen but also good people, good nzers. Compared to whom Leslie? Who are the bad people then Leslie?

Wish token commentators would fuck off

Steve Smith and David Warner? Stop looking for reasons to be annoyed at the comms, character has been a massive talking point in cricket for the last few years.

Foxtel in Aus just switched from the cricket to a magazine tennis show. TV Guide says cricket all day. Like someone pressed the wrong button and no one's noticed. Fuckwits

First session was on 507, then switching back to 501 (maybe... i think ...)

Following someone like McCullum was always gonna be tough and like others I thought he was just gonna end up like countless others and disappear without a trace but yeah, count me amongst the proven wrong brigade.

Both batsmen will be eying a couple of milestones then maybe time for the declaration ?

@MN5 300 ahead would be primo, but unless we crank up our already indecent run rate maybe a 220-250 lead will be enough? Thinking we need to plan for 1-2 solid partnerships by the bangles then a collapse.

well we know she's game over when we get into the tail. one of their dismissals yesterday was horrific....bowled with no shot even offered.

Oh and Nicholls with the hundy. Shot kid !

What a bizarre comment. Why do you need that validation of comparison??

Damn, there goes Nicholls, now we have to watch CDG probably run out taylor or deny him the strike before he can get to a double
