Why doesn't Sean William Scott get work any more?

Isn't he in the Lethal Weapon TV series? And, he recently made a sequel to Goon.

firstly, there is a Lethal Weapon TV show? And also yes, he is in that. His IMDB page is pretty sparse from 2013 onwards though.

It's OK, good fodder when I'm on the treadmill. Damon Wayans plays Murtagh

Enjoyed the first two as a teenager...

My kids absolutely love these films (as do I) but I'm not sure how they can make this work. Very skeptical.

I'm not even sure the old ones watch well anymore. Best left in the past I say

I can recite B&T 1 line for line while watching it so I'm sure it's as awesome as ever.

I actually had a friend who could do the same with Top Gun, but the problem was he couldn't stop himself from doing it when we were watching it as a group.

@mariner4life yeah have heard Reeves is a genuine GC.

contrast to someone like Cage who cops alot of shit then supposedly acts like a cnut (might be isolated, but who knows)

When filming Captain Corellis Mandolin on Kefalonia, bought a big house, built a big fuck off wall around it, left the island at every opportunity (EVEN TO RIDE3 HIS MOTORCYCLE), wanted nothing to do with locals, interveiws, eating out etc...this was told by a couple of different tour guides on the island when I visited, might be more to it...?

Maybe he didn't want to be annoyed by looky loos all the time or he'd had security concerns before? (Re: the house with a wall. Just speculating, I don't know anything about it).

@Nepia yeah as I said, a couple of tourist guides mentioned it as we passed this house with a big huge wall (he didnt own it then) and then when we went to the beach featured in the movie.

As I said, possibly more to it but I mean it's a Greek Island and not even one of the bigger tourist ones, plenty of people there probably didnt even know who he was haha

    They do. Still awesome!

That's why I don't want to see wrinkled old Bill and Ted. It will struggle mightily not to be shit.

Incidentally the movie wasn't great (IIRC it also had Christian Bale in it before he was huge) but it's better than the gobshite awful book it's based on. Why use one sentence to say a ball is round when you can use 43 paragraphs!

fark why the hell would you read that book, movie was bad enough, I only watched the movie out of interest because it had been made a year or so prior to me visiting the Island.

It's marketed as a good book, it may have been recommended to me, and I used to read lots back then ... now I would have got a few pages in and just turfed it.

I don't know if I have read another of his or not. Can barely remember CC's Mandolin it was that many years ago but I do remember quite enjoying it

I read the book first and recoiled when I heard Cage had been cast as the lead. Total miscast. I actually didn't mind the book, but no way would I have the patience to read it now.

What was that one set in some South American dictatorship? That was good, but very out there.

I can't stand his writing style, it's overblown (I don't like overly verbose language) which I thought was a translation issue until I realised he was English. @SammyC as CCM was the first book of his I came across I haven't attempted any others.

Fair enough. I don't really get into styles etc. I just like a story or I don't. I don't think I'm a decent marker mind you as my favourite books of all time are the Harry Potter series

I guess I am basing my opinion of what the book might be like based on the movie (I know often movies suck compared to books, even if the book is way better, doesnt really strike me as the kind of book I would ready anyway)

    There's 3 of them (I think)

The War of Don Emmanuel's Nether Parts, SeƱor Vivo and the Coca Lord and The Troublesome Offspring of Cardinal Guzman. Kind of based on Pinochet in Chile from what I recall.

I probably enjoyed these more than CCM.

He's definitely got a unique writing style which makes the books a bit harder to get into, but I find that once I was into them I enjoyed it. Similar to reading Irvine Walsh when he writes in the Scottish accent.
