OK, I have just finished watching Breaking Bad, and I enjoyed Season 5 the best and liked the ending (no spoilers from me, for the 3 other people in the world that hasn't seen it yet).

Over all I would still rate The Wire as better than Breaking Bad, for me Season 3 was really boring and I had to struggle through it

The only thing I'm religiously watching these days aside from rugby and cricket is TWD. I got into Southland last year but unfortunately only the final series and then it was prematurely canned.

But I fucking love The Walking Dead.

I used to watch a lot of cooking shows but I'm a little sick of them now. I think the NZ MKR really ruined much of the genre for me.

Did I mention how awesome TWD is???

When new series of Mike and Molly and The Big Bang Theory are on I watch both.

But TWD........

TWD isn't so much a TV series, more a survival documentary (plenty of what not to do stuff)

Taken an interesting turn, but was always trouble on the horizon.

It's become slightly repetitive in that the group goes from one encounter with a bunch of crazy survivors - the hospital cops, Terminites, the Governor - to the next, and it's just a matter of waiting for them to discover the angle and then knock them all off in a confrontation while losing and replacing the occasional core character for dramatic effect. And yet it's still enjoyable to watch, wait, and try to figure out what's going on then witness the action. I expect this seasons' cliffhanger will be exactly when we learn the intentions of the Alexandrians, and must only be 2-3 episodes away now. Next weeks' trailer was edited so it looks like Daryl is being stalked and shot at, but I suspect the two aren't related and we'll have at least one more episode of settling in and hints at what's to come before anything major is revealed. Maybe the Alexandrians arent bad in general and it's just a few internal bad apples - already fingered in last nights' episode - who force our heroes' hand. Ricks' comment at the end about not becoming weak and being in a position to take the town by force if need be was quite telling, and was one of the interjections they throw in from time to time to show us how ruthless he has become. It certainly made me look forward to the possibility. You can see cracks appearing in the group already (Daryl), but also their potential for ruthlessness if need be also lingering under the surface (Carol and Rick) and one suspects they'll reunite in arms following a divergence in Alexandria

TWD
These Alexandrians are an interesting bunch, particuklarly thier leader...video taping them all??

I did wonder if it was some kind of future breeding thing to screen out the weak, but they have a gay couple which doesnt help.

she is very keen for them to stay yet their first encounter with that dude he said theyd have an entry interview of sorts, was that it? cos they kinda missed the boat allowing them to come in..whats with taking guns off them but allow Darryl to keep his x-bow? who they better not kill, I've had enough of shows killing off characters I like having on the show!!

Are they just muppets?

Although I suspect them being weak is a ruse to let them get weak and complacent, but to what end?

Are they experimenting with a cure, so need people to turn to try turn them back?? I doubt we'll have another cannibal commune.

Or is Rick and Co's paranoia and distrust going to ruin the community who just want to welcome them in to help move toward the future?
Anyone watching Better Call Saul? Seems to be getting pretty good ratings.

TR I think its going with the plotlines of the book again and the people in that community are just clueless and she needs Rick to help them sort their shit out. We'll probably know for sure if thats the case when we find out if the leaders husband is still are and if not what happened to him.

Rest assured if they are following the comics Rick manages to find massive amounts of trouble which leads to the brutal death of one of the main cast.

Yep, guess we will learn more of proctors bodyguard fella soon too, theyve been giving snippets recently, I think Rebecca thinks more of herself than her uncle does...yes to more hottie's!

Jegga - TWD
I had thought that community were just muppets, but if so, how have they survived so long? There must be a fair few groups like Ricks (the Governor, the cannibals) roaming looking for a new home, if they were weak surely someone would a dealt to them? I mean I already gave my location lined up for where I'll live and how I'll survive there 🙂

So it appears that Burton is a eunuch and is fiercely loyal to Proctor because Proctor managed to save him in the past.
The army guy is now set up to be the next bad guy for Hood to deal with while Proctor's storyline stays internal.
I'm searching for ideas on where any new hotties are going to come from, but Hood needs a new root so that may be promising.
Anyone watching Gallipoli, being shown on Ch9 here in Oz. It is based on Les Carolyn's book Gallipoli, and if you haven't read it you should (he doesn't have much good to say about Murdoch the original).

I was a little concerned it would be an over the top jingoistic approach to a terrible battle. I couldn't have been more wrong than a really wrong thing. The story is told through the eyes of a 17 year old who lied about his age to follow hos brother to war. It is predominately told from the Australian point of view, but treats the Turks and Kiwi's with sensitivity.

Monday's episode dealt with the "Big Push", and covered Chunuk Bair, Lone Pine, The Nek and Baby 700. I am sentimental and the room did get dusty there for a while!

Here is an interesting article that wonders & surmises why Gallipoli isn't rating as well as some of the reality tripe that is served up on TV now a days
