    @No-Quarter

    That's the only way to do Karaoke. Although actually I've had better done to me in one of those Karaoke boxes, but that's probably for the Blokes advice thread 😉

    The Connections documentaries were some of the best TV going, I managed to find a few episodes on youtube

    I found some as well - old, but really interesting.

    Just on that James Burke tweet.

    Firstly that was awesome and I saw it on the internet. Hence I posted it in this thread .... serms appropriate 🙂

    Second I think that was from his series The Day the Universe Changed rather than Connections. The former I had on VHS for years and years having recorded it on successive Sunday arvos sometime in the 80s. I reckon thus because the shuttle started in 1981, and Connections was made in 1978.

    Both series were all sorts of awesome.

    Probably still could've got my greasy hands on the tapes up to about 3 months ago before Mum inconveniently shuffled off this mortal coil, and Brother Boo had the job of tossing all the rubbish out. ... and who has a vhs still anyway?

    Both series however were all shades of awesome. Did I say that already?

    Looks like there are a few full eps on Daily motion:

    Hero Dad! I reckon we’ve all got a similar story, just not the footage to prove it.

    Wasn't sure where to post this but had to put it up because it proves once and for all that a diet of meat and alcohol is healthy. Absolutely no further studies required, bacon and beer is all I need.

    Vegetarians 'are less healthy and have a lower quality of life than meat-eaters'

    Vegetarians are less healthy than meat-eaters, a controversial study has concluded, despite drinking less, smoking less and being more physically active than their carnivorous counterparts.

    @No-Quarter

    Participants who ate less meat also had poorer health practices, such as avoiding attending doctors appointments for preventative check-ups and measures such as vaccines,

    Heh yep.

    Actually surprised the Independent released this.
