Wasn't sure where to post this but had to put it up because it proves once and for all that a diet of meat and alcohol is healthy. Absolutely no further studies required, bacon and beer is all I need.

Vegetarians 'are less healthy and have a lower quality of life than meat-eaters'

Vegetarians are less healthy than meat-eaters, a controversial study has concluded, despite drinking less, smoking less and being more physically active than their carnivorous counterparts.

    @No-Quarter

Participants who ate less meat also had poorer health practices, such as avoiding attending doctors appointments for preventative check-ups and measures such as vaccines,

    Heh yep.

Actually surprised the Independent released this.

So the long running subscription battle for the #1 spot on Youtube between an Indian multi-million dollar corporate entity and a skinny Swedish bloke named Felix who likes memes, is finally over. Pewdiepie held #1 right up to 92 million subscribers. He has offered up a congratulations song which has racked up 17 million views in one day..but weirldly..isn't trending on Youtube.

*edit Holy-hell after releasing that song he is now back in front!

That song was brilliantly provocative 🙂 Annoying catchy too.

It's trending number 2 for me, top one has 22m views in one day. Maybe they are hiding it from you.

I haven't seen whammy bar technique that smooth since Richie Blackmore hung up his electric and decided to become a minstrel

His 'bitch lasagne' was bloody catchy too.

Dunno how their trending works, not trending in Oz or the USA but is in NZ

I don’t know where this goes but it’s pretty good.

The Tiger and the Tragic Trick: Siegfried & Roy's Animal Handler Breaks Silence on Mauling, Alleges Cover-Up

[...] Lawrence — a figure central to the story, now speaking for the first time — says the official narrative of the night put out by the show isn't what really happened. He contends it was a version shaped by the illusionists to protect the brand, save face and cover up for a series of onstage handling errors made by Horn. "While Roy, unfortunately, bears the physical scars of the attack," says Lawrence, "he definitely isn't the only person that was left suffering in the aftermath of it."

THR reviewed the inconclusive probe into the incident, a two-year investigation directed by the United States Department of Agriculture and made public in 2005. (The agency has authority over exotic animals.) It lends support to Lawrence's position by independently establishing a narrative that hews to his own, not the previously publicized story. [...]

The Tiger and the Tragic Trick: Siegfried & Roy’s Animal Handler Breaks Silence on Mauling, Alleges Cover-Up

Siegfried & Roy's animal handler Chris Lawrence was onstage when a tiger mauled Roy Horn in 2003 during their Las Vegas show. Now, after a 15-year battle with PTSD as a result of that gory night, he is finally ready to reveal the human error that triggered the incident and the story he believes was...

@Paekakboyz Pretty ordinary to be honest. Throw in 100kmh winds, esp with a crosswind component, a bit of windshear and it gets a bit more exciting. A typhoon, cyclone, hurricane depending on what part of the world. Or Wellington most of the time. I am told it can't be beaten on a good day which in my experience last one was February 12 1995.

As for assisted that all depends what you mean. Yes they would have been using an instrument approach system to find the runway but as for an for autoland - maybe. The wind restrictions on that are tough and usually would only do it in fog (generally no wind - but not always). Have done autolands in about 150m visibility (in fog) which is unnerving when you see the runway appear at approach speeds around 250kmh seconds before you entrust a computer to safely land 265 tonne of aeroplane . Then when on the ground you can't see enough to taxi so they send a car with flashing lights for you to follow. New GPS is helping with the on ground stuff now though.

Love the insight into this stuff. I can image that trusting the machine/autoland must be a test at times!
