@jegga Can't help picturing her still living with her parents, yelling at her mum for bringing in her washed and ironed laundry cos she was RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF AN IMPORTANT PARAGRAPH ABOUT OPPRESSION.

But she is oppressed Mokey people tailgate her because she's a girl.

    BECAUSE SHES A GIRL

Can't believe I'm writing this ... I actually agree with almost all she says. I can do without the woe is me BS, but the rest I think is quite fair.

My parents have a Highlander and a Mazda 2. It's a completely different level of respect I get from other road users depending on which car I'm driving.

Why is that? One is defo a "Kiwi Male" car and the other is a Nana's car. It's not too far a reach to think to come up with her conclusions.

    A highlander is a “kiwi male”car?

I thought the highlanders target market was a reasonably affluent woman with a couple of kids ?

@jegga Been wrong before, maybe wrong again, but not amongst the demographic of Kiwis I know - which I'm sure is much lower than any on here.

But I personally know of 4 people who own them and all are rugby loving, outoor enjoying blokes.

Fair enough , I know a couple of straight guys that drive an mx5 . I only ever see that demographic driving Highlanders so assumed that’s who they targeted with their marketing. They are a soft roader though being effectively a raised Camry so probably not hardcore enough to oppress Verity with .

@Rocky-Rockbottom That is one of those stories that makes my teeth hurt at the stupidity of it. Whoever complained needs a hard slap, and the lifeguard needs one also, for not telling the complainers that there was nothing wrong with what the swimmer was wearing and to fuck off.

Isn't that body shaming? "You're far too skinny and hawt, come back when you put on 10 kgs"

Then the bikini is definitely not going to work.

@canefan Yes. And if she was swimming in the adults only area and nips and puss were covered, really not sure how there could be any problem. I wonder how the complainers framed it. Won't someone think of the children? Yes, you're right, madam. It is truly a traumatic thing for a child to see cleavage. Especially since they will have never ever in their lives seen any part of a boob.

Perhaps she wasn't modestly enough covered for a certain religion? Be interested to know who complained.
