Anyone else giving Hanna a look-see? Based on the film with Eric Bana, Cate Blanchette and Sairoise Ronan. I quite liked the film but have struggled to get gripped by the series. 3 eps in so far. The action scenes are pretty good and production values a cut above the average, but I just can't seem to sympathise with any of the characters. I'm going to persevere as I quite like the premise but if it doesn't brighten up a bit I fear I may bale.

@Catogrande I am 4 eps in I think..of similar view as you though..is watchable, I like the premise, the genre is to my liking but still not quite there...ep 1 was pretty cool though, then made me wait 5 weeks for ep 2.
Also caught Whiskey Cavalier on TV last 2 weeks, is pretty average, but by god Lauren Cohen is hot so, yeah.
Great to see Killing Eve will be aired on TV2 on Monday (that I believe is pretty much same day as you can d/l if you are that way inclined)

OK so I may have missed this up thread,but Afterlife any good?
Sounds/looks promising
Been mentioned, it’s superb. Best thing he ever did imho .
Previously mentioned that I really dislike Ricky but this has swayed me... I definitely prefer him acting.

@RLx31 yeah I wasnt a fan prior to Humanity and I also watched 3 eps of this series yesterday.
Finished Hanna - was ok, while I think ep 3/4 with the teen angst in full flow sucked, I can kinda see why they did it. Finished with a new season in the offing if rated high enough.
1 ep of Punisher left to go....is hard work really. Castle and one of the main baddies, should be dead several times over, yet both are able to kick anyones arse when 2 minutes earlier they were half dead.

What We Do in The Shadows tv show is pretty damn funny so far (two episodes in)
-
Just started 'The Chi'.
Very promising

@Hooroo Santa Clarita Diet
Yeah it is pretty out there, but some funny shit!
Love that show. Even with my lack of current TV appetite I usually find time to binge that when a series comes out.
Funny as a fight. Oliphant is brilliant -

Killing Eve started again last night, seems to have picked up where it left off!
Love the humour in the show!

Had a little time off recently and so binged a few series on Netflix.
After Life
@Hooroo I completely agree with your assessment of After Life. Absolutely brilliant and I just had to binge it, all in one day. As you said, takes you through the full spectrum of emotions.Love Death & Robots
Wow, so different and bloody awesome. Was a few episodes that I found a little disappointing (4 out of the 18 ) and that's probably only because the other episodes were just so good.
Of note, as I mentioned on the Movie thread, my brother worked on Episode 13 - Lucky 13Season 3 of Santa Clarita Diet
Love this series and it's one of the few that my wife and I both absolutely love.
This season was just as awesome as the others. Such terrific writing and I love how they mix the mundane into conversations about all sorts of wacky Zombie stuff. -

I just don't know how he can do the second series?
That crossed my mind too
:::
now that it appears he's worked through his grief.

In other news The Grand Tour's Mongolia episode was probably the best TGT/ TG episode I've ever seen.

Line of Duty Series 5 starts this weekend.
Hopefully the script doesn't get too unbelievable in wrapping the whole storyline up.
Bloody great so far

Mercurios stuff often gets too complicated and twisted for it's own good but suspend belief and it is still an enjoyable watch
