@Virgil I was thinking that but the round Robin means you've got time to settle on a first XI.
    Great problem to have

Warner just got an unbeaten ton in his IPL innings. He’s definitely come back strong.

How high did he leap in the air when he passed 100?

The final of the NZ Club One Day Cricket Championship is currently underway at Cornwall Park in Auckland.
St Albans from Christchurch were invited to bat first and made 96 in 34.3 overs.
Innovate Electrical Napier Tech Old Boys to being the chase shortly.

Innovate Napier Tech Old Boys retain their title as the best one day cricket club in the country after they knock off the required 97 runs with more than 15 overs up their sleeves.

It is club cricket so not unexpected no Black Caps would be available for selection. Jesse Ryder batted at number five so there was one player that has played at the very top level out there giving back to his club (he is Tech's player/coach). By the way Greerton, demolished by ten wickets, were one of the team despatched.

Good. Greerton are shite. But the club with 4 current blackcaps was not involved.... That comp rewards the second tier clubs who have good players but not really good ones.

Some excellent last ball heroics from Mitchell Santner

@Donsteppa Seems like Santner did pretty well amidst a pretty erratic performance by Stokes...

    19.6
    6
Stokes to Santner, SIX runs, Santner finishes off in style What. A. Finish. CSK have won. They've stolen this. Amazing, amazing win. This was bowled full and outside off, Santner was probably expecting it, given that Stokes had been trying that, moved into position just enough to be able to extend his arms and loft it high and handsome over long-on. I repeat. What a win!
    19.6
    1w
Stokes to Santner, 1 wide, And now that's been called a wide! Stokes went for the one wide outside off, and it is moving away a bit ends up outside the tram line!
The square leg umpire over-ruled the straight one for that no-ball call. And we saw captain cool, well lose his cool

    19.5
    2
Stokes to Santner, 2 runs, wide of off and Santner stretches out and tries to swat it straight but it bounces in front of long-on
    19.4
    2
Stokes to Santner, 2 runs, another no-ball for height this time slower ball goes wrong ends up above waist height and Santner is able to shovel-flick it away. Okay scratch that, they have revoked that no-ball. And unprecedented - Dhoni is walking on the field to argue with the umpires He's arguing with them, Stokes is in the thick of it. Scenes! Scenes! Dhoni will earn himself a sanction. And CSK are going to be docked 'fairplay' points. The umpire had stuck his hand out, but the square leg umpire said that was not a no-ball
Santner in. 8 needed off 3

    19.3
    W
Stokes to Dhoni, OUT, yorked him Stokes nails the perfect ball at the right time. Tails in between bat and leg to shatter the stumps. Dhoni was looking to give himself room
    MS Dhoni b Stokes 58 (76m 43b 2x4 3x6) SR: 134.88

Dhoni's running lots of twos. Four twos will do it...

    19.2
    2
Stokes to Dhoni, 2 runs, slower ball, back of a length, Dhoni doesn't get hold of it properly, pulls it off the end of the bat past Stokes. Runs two
Dhoni to face the free hit.

    19.2
    2nb
Stokes to Jadeja, (no ball) 1 run, no ball and Jadeja has leathered this through extra cover. There's a fielder, but it's a free hit coming up!
    19.1
    6
Stokes to Jadeja, SIX runs, Jadeja you ballerina beauty Full ball outside off, well wide of off and Jadeja falls over while driving it straight back over the bowler's head. Middles it while falling down and sends it over the fence! Incredible
Forecaster says 8.2%. Equation is 18 off 6. Bowler is Stokes

Sounds like Dhoni acting like a fuckwit. Kohli has been carrying on too. Guess when it’s played in their backyard they think they have a right to throw a tanty when calls go against them

    Name drop time

Just spent a week with Gordon Greenidge

Best bowlers, lilee and Marshall. Had to be very cautious against Hadlee. Ashley mallet, best finger spinner. Abdul Qadir best spin bowler in his time.

Team he loved to beat most, England.

Lara great bat, no real leadership qualities.
Chris Gayle, great guy, not selfish. Had no choice to go t20 because he simply wasn't being paid by windies
Windies cricket fell because of administration fighting over money. That simple. The theory that windies youngsters were ignoring cricket for basketball in USA is totally wrong, as how can a jamaican compete with yanks growing up playing street ball.

Overall an outstanding man and possibly cooler than viv πŸ˜‰.

Still playing at age 67! And loves a drink and a yarn.

    Shameless name drop over....

Yeah - that basketball theory never sounded very credible to me.

I think England also stopped taking as many West Indians into county cricket and so that training ground somewhat dried up as well.

Lara thing doesn't surprise me at all. It's amazing how often sports teams make the mistake of thinking the best player is also the best choice to be captain.

    Shit we're lucky with KW.

@Chris-B cricket tournament in Thailand. Funny thing was he was late and people thought perhaps not coming. I was hungover to fuck at breakfast and couldn't talk hungover and sitting miles away from people. Big Gord arrives and sits at my table. Breakfast with a legend and couldn't actually speak.

God I wished @jegga was there to take over!
