Anywhoo, Walking Dead finale...not sure what to make of it.
The black guy that has been following them since Ep1 finally caught up...

Glen shoulda killed that twat!

Thought it was an odd thing for them to be all anti-Rick and then Deana tell him to kill the wife beater so quickly...although with Rick angling for his wife, maybe it shouldnt be such a surprise.

I guess th ebiggest things were the black dude finally showing up and this new Wolf gang...not sure what thier end game is, I mean setting those traps? What is the point? It isnt like they can train zombies or doing anything other than trap them??
Unlike you and Rembrandt I really liked this (half) series, with the coda that the writers still do as many dippy things as they always do, I liked how there was something different from the good humans/bad humans of the past few series. I found it a lot more thrilling than previous serious wondering what was going on and where things were leading.

The finale:
Sheesh, at one stage in that finale it looked like the priest, Tara, and Glenn were all going to die and I was beginning to worry the The Walking Dead just hates minorities (especially after Cutty and Noah's deaths) unless they're bad ass black women.

I should have known that Noah had to go as I knew that Morgan comes back this series. He might turn around and walk out again after seeing Rick pop that guy. Pretty rough doing it in front of the guys wife - even battered women sometimes feel love for their partners.

What did annoy me was just how clueless the townspeople are - in reality they would have been rolled by the US equivalent of Bulldogs league fans years ago. But as I said, The Walking Dead writers are sometimes stupid.

Looks like the next battle is up against the Wolf Pack, I hope there's more of them than just those two, otherwise it will be a short season. At any rate only on The Waking Dead would someone as on to it as Daryl just wander into that cannery, check out the dangling cans, and then just open a bloody truck without scoping the place and at the least bang on the sides of the truck.

Looking forward to the next half season to see how it plays out.
Apparently The Walking Dead is rating better than most broadcast network shows.

AMC has been on a great run really, a critical hit in Mad Men, a critical and relative ratings hit in Breaking Bad, and a gigantic ratings hit in The Walking Dead. Not bad for a station that was the second rate classic movies channel in the states originally.
-
I enjoyed WD Nepia, I was just unsure what to make of where the finale went

I thought S3 was about as good as S1 and S2. It's an ok show designed to be more than an ok show. Now that he's president it makes comparisons with The West Wing inevitable and it really doesn't come close to that show in terms of quality.
-

The old King of Wessex is a slimey buggar!

Really enjoying Justified, but man I hope they aren't setting up Raylan with Markham's new gunslinger..... -

Always been a fan of Eliza Dushku.... just something about her.

Just added Soho to my sky package so I can watch GoT from Monday next week. I've just watched it online in the past but for an extra $10 a month through winter I'm not too fussed.
-

Your pics aren't working but Ana looks decent. I doubt Dushku will get her clothes off this late in her career when she hasn't needed to yet (Banshee isn't prestige drama where established actresses go to get their kit off). I've never been a huge fan of hers but I watched all of Dollhouse.

Justified is good this season, sadly the last, the new gunslinger is ok, but I'm kind of annoyed they didn't make more out of Dillahunt and the ginger from ER/Band of Brothers. They seemed to waste those characters. I'm at the stage where I want to see both Boyd and Raylan come out of this fine, but I know it's not going to happen - and I want more Winona.

Final of Shameless last night, I thought it was an ok season even though it's getting a bit panned. Jegga will love the nudity quantity, they seemed to accelerate it at the end of the season.

Mad Men is back, yay, but I'm miles behind on my TV watching. Still have the final two Banshee episodes to watch, two latest Vikings episodes, one The Americans episode (which has been great this year), all of Better Call Saul and a bunch of episodes from timewaster shows like Arrow/Flash.
-

Some googling and oogling confirms both have had moments in their careers where they haven't been shy. -

I stand corrected, I didn't know Dushku had got her kit off in the past - I'm still scarred by the fact that Odette Yustman (the Native American chick) is about the only female over the age of 18 who hasn't got her kit off on the show.
-
Yeah I kinda expected him to go where this new gunslinger is likely to go.

I also like hiim, but I fear they are setting Raylan up for a showdown at high noon, and with it being the grand finale, they best not be killing Raylan!

Was hoping Raylan would let Ava go, and with this, Boyd.

Be a shame for either (or both) to come to a bloody end!
-

So apparently the first four episodes of the new season of Game of Thrones leaked online tonight. Rumors say two more will leak as well. Sourced from screeners.

I wondered if they were real...think I'll wait.

Sky just still don't get it do they? (or want to get it).

A main reason GoT is the most pirated show in the world is that it's distribution was screwed up. People these days want to watch things as they want, when they want. HBO required a full Cable subscription and provided no other avenue to purchase. That easily seeded the ground for copies to be distributed, even to people who would prefer to pay.

Now Sky, who own the NZ broadcast and online rights, have only half pie met the need. I have subscribed to SoHo so I can watch the new series of GoT and Orphan Black. That entails a full Sky sub plus the SoHo add on. Yet if I want to watch it away from my sky decoder, I am expected to pay another $20 a month for the streaming version on Neon.

They won't stream channels like SoHo on SkyGo because they want to make you pay twice for the same thing.

This is my first foray into paying for this product and in doing the 'right' thing, I have removed the ability to watch when and where I want.

Edit: anyone else got that theme tune running through their head today?
-

I guess now that you pay for it you can download it guilt free from other places and watch it at your leisure.

Yeah, it just pisses me off that Sky deliberately try to hang on to old school ways as long as they can.

Their Neon service should be free to subscribers of content. If I pay for SoHo I should get SoHo content available on that platform for the current period (1 week). I will pay more if I want to access movies content or back catalogue.

I hardly download anything since Lightbox came along. Plenty to watch on that, and with full binge back catalogue capability. Only improvement would be if I could buffer a show on wifi then watch it when not connected (with a time limit of course). Would be great to access an episode at work then watch it on the train on the way home.
-

Seems a bit bonkers that they haven't made it available to subscribers. That would tip me over the edge and I'd unsubscribe from SoHo to be honest.

No. Have Sky and Mysky and Skysport. Can watch games when the happen on my iPad though through SkyGo, which can be quite good if away from home or if the game is an early one, I will sometimes have it going on the ipad in the kitchen while cooking. Late ones, I can watch in bed.

I admit that I can only watch them outside of broadcast time if I record them but for live sport that doesn't worry me so much as if I don't watch it live I usually scan through the game.
