@taniwharugby it was in her contract, no nips!! well, that's what I am assuming.

Some good banter, as an ensemble cast they do have great chemistry - Davos is the man. Looking hard for any one-liners that might tip off the first wave of deaths or betrayals.

Wonder when Sam is going to blow - can imagine him actually killing the night king after being left behind with Bran and co.

Theory is the Night King won’t be there, he’s heading south on the dragon

Remaining 4 episodes are nearly 90 mins each so should be plenty of shit about to happen

He's been one step ahead for ever. He's had (thousands?) of years on the weirwood net in the TV series. He's no noob like Bran. He set a trap for Bran to mark him, so he could kill the last 3EyedR - tho Bran took that over and he is still marked. If you note where he was standing when he trapped Bran, yup same rock he trapped Jon and his muppet adventurers on their stupidly conceived trip - he knew he would get them there, and knew Soon-to-be Mad Queen Dany would come with a dragon. That he could kill so he can use the zombie dragon get through the wall.

The plan was far too easy, and it's going to shit

ALso how many times have they mentioned it'll be safer in the crypt? Jesus that's annoyingly awful foreshadowing.

@Paekakboyz I was more thinking along the below image lines...but I guess they are showing how much she has grown up.

@Machpants said in GOT - there will be spoilers:

@Baron-Silas-Greenback gotta have them do character building stuff so it hurts more when they get killed

I think after following them for as many seasons as we all have we know them all pretty well

Or that Sam has stolen some books from the Citadel?

What I'm wondering is, what is the point of Gilly and her son? Aren't most of the White Walkers her/their brothers? Surely she's been kept alive this long to do more than live happily ever after with Sam.

The "Nephew Jon" reveal was all a bit
    alt text

Thought there would have been more drama around that but Mad Queen Dany is definitely simmering to the surface, very jealous throughout, and how could she question Jon.. Bend the knee bisssh!
Sansa was more likable as she challenged Dany and even Theon didn't annoy me with his sad mopey face. Jamie, Brienne and Co's fireside scenes were a nice touch but agree very much padding out the episode which is insulting seeing as it's a short series, they owe us more!!
Agree with above comments that there will be no Night King at Winterfell yet, absolutely think he's just sent the troops to create as much damage as possible.
Bran needs to start giving us a bit more information and pull his weight.

Also, can't remember, are the children of the forest (if that's what they were called) still a thing or extinct, are they going to be about in this war?

@RLx31 in the series I think they are extinct, not so much the book i.e. they're on the Isle of the Faces, where Rickon apparently is

@Machpants that's a shame I was hoping they would be an interesting addition to this series.

There are also supposed to Children of the Forest in The Neck, the area belonging to Lord Howland Reed. But other than his two children, Jojen and Meera, and a young Howland appearing in the Bran/3 eyed-raven flashbacks at the Tower of Joy, Howland Reed, one of the closest friends of Ned Stark, has not appeared in the series except for a letter saying they will stay in the Neck, so we can guess that in the series they are all but dead. Unless...

There are some fan theories out there that the Reeds (remember Meera returned to the Neck after getting Bran to Winterfell), the Crannogmen and the last of the Children of the Forest will make their way to Winterfell as the battle with the dead is underway to try to save the day, similar to the Knights of the Vale coming in to save the day in the Battle of the Bastards.

I also tend to agree with the theory that the Night King has missed Winterfell entirely leaving the fighting there to his underlings and undead army and is making his way on the back of Viserion to Kings Landing where he will burn the shite out of everything.

Going against the grain but I thought last nights episode was great. It was basically a farewell to everyone. Some wonderful moments like Brienne getting knighted by Jamie, Thormo’s awkward giant story. That whole scene around the hearth was enjoyable.
Seems we either complain they are padding out the seasons or rushing them.
Clearly there are some huge episodes coming up, makes sense to me to highlight the calm before the storm.

@Virgil also liked Arya's comment to Hound and whats'his'face about spending her last moments with a couple of old sad buggars or something.

Yeah the hearth chat was great, love old Giants Bane, his banter with Sir Brianne!

@MN5 hilarious. God I love his character but i know he will be dead soon, and what a shame it will be.

Have we done our lists of who will survive??
I have a feeling survivors will be...

    Cersei
    Tyrion
    Jon
    Sam

    it's just my demeanour.

if I had my way the Hound, Bronn and Tormund would survive and open a pub.
