The latest trailer for the seventh Star Wars film, The Force Awakens, has been released online, with some old favourite characters making a long-awaited appearance.<br><br>
The trailer draws strongs connections to the original franchise, reassuring those who are still skeptical that the series' latest is in good hands.<br><br>
Starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Alice Eve, Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto and Simon Pegg, the film takes place after the events of Return of the Jedi.<br><br>
Voiceover by Mark Hamill, who played Luke Skywalker in episodes 3-6, hints that one of the main characters in the new film is a Skywalker.<br><br>
Shots of intense battles and destruction would appear to show a sense of action J. J Abrams has become known for.<br><br>
The Millennium Falcon, Han Solo's ship, is shown flying into the wreckage of a crashed Star Destroyer, and the trailer ends with the first look at Chewbacca and Han Solo himself.<br><br>
The film is directed by J.J Abrams, who has also recently directed Star Trek Into Darkness, Super 8 and Mission: Impossible III. -
