I saw a quote here somewhere that Scrafton maybe going to the Canes that would be a good pickup if true .The Blues Need to work on keeping him.

@Chris It was from me. One of my best mates who manages his club side was talking to his grandad and said that Scrafton was unhappy with a lack of gametime.

He showed in the time he had on the field how good he is. Was huge for Auckland too

He should be unhappy. I think tonight was his first game since round four?

It’s hard to justify GCT getting selected ahead of him and Goodhue will be good eventually but is far from the finished product.

If he does change franchises I guess we’ll lose him at Auckland. They were rumours he was close to leaving after the Nick White years

I just noticed that Samisoni Fisilau is back in NZ and playing halfback for Marist.

He might be in the halfback mix for Auckland, although I hope he's no more than an injury replacement at best.

Ruru, Liaina and Funaki should be our 3 halfbacks.

Maybe a slight chance Fukofuka comes back, as he's currently playing for the Asia Pacific Dragons in Rapid Rugby and I think that competition finishes before the NPC starts.

I assume he'd make the Tongan RWC side?

@Duluth I forgot he could make the Tongan World Cup team. Did he make the Tongan team last year?

Kurt Eklund is playing for Waihi in the Thames Valley competition this year, so I guess he won't be available for Auckland until 2020, if at all.

@Tim big win for Waitemata today..I think we will see some much tighter contests once they sort out the top 8.

@Steven-Harris Yeah, that's gotta be a big upset. Good win for Suburbs too.

@Tim Not a great fixture if you're taking the field for East Tamaki. I've been on the wrong side of a hundred point thrashing and it feels like the opposite team scores from every kick-off. At no point is there a game of rugby.

Parents quit rugby club after Dillan Halaholo inclusion:-
Furious parents have taken their children out of an Auckland rugby club which has welcomed back a former professional player whose career appeared in tatters after being convicted of performing indecent acts in front of young kids.

Dillan Halaholo has twice been convicted of doing an indecent act in public; in both 2016 and 2017.
The rest of the story is behind the Herald pay wall. How did the Suburbs club not see this coming?

@Daffy-Jaffy very much so given that he was convicted..needed to follow a completely different path to get back into society..around a club environment ,probably no the place.

@Steven-Harris especially as his crimes were targeted at children.
