All indications are that Zion will go to the Pelicans. https://ftw.usatoday.com/2019/05/zion-williamson-stepfather-duke-pelicans-new-orleans-rumors-options-excited-nba-draft

If you were AD, surely you'd wait until the end of the year before making up your mind on staying/going. If this guy is the next Lebron (a big if), then staying becomes a lot more attractive.

And with a committed AD, Zion and Jrue, the Pelicans now become a free agent destination. Add in a Tobias Harris or a Jimmy Butler and you've got a team that can contend in the West.

@barbarian Griffin is a good GM (I wanted him to go to the Lakers and sort that dumpster fire out), he has street cred from dealing with LBJ in CLE, the basketball situation is good so it is only a question of repairing the relationship with the franchise and if AD has his heart set on leaving regardless. If that happens Griffin will get a good deal for AD and the Pels will be set for the next 5 years

Who knows what is going on in Davis' head, or what his Klutch friends are telling him. Logic would suggest he should wait it out and see how good Zion is.

But if he's still got his heart set on a big market team then it might be impossible for him to be coaxed back to New Orleans, even for a supermax deal.

An interesting twist will be if Zion also signs with Klutch, and what that means for Davis as well.

If there is the prospect of a super trio in LA maybe he wants to go to try and win now. I'm not sure I'd trust LAL management to do that, but the players could do it themselves. Imagine a LBJ-Kyrie-AD core

If Kyrie makes the decision to come to LA, then the Lakers can throw everything at the Pelicans for a Davis trade.

Lonzo, Ingram, Kuzma, Hart and a pick or two (even the #4 they have in this draft). AND if they play their cards right the Pelicans will still have cap space on top of that. Might be a hard one to turn down.

If they get it done it will be in spite of management. The worst move the Lakers have made in recent times was chasing Jerry West away

The second Portland/GSW game is so fun. Warriors up by one with a minute to go.

Steph is trading threes with Seth, while Draymond Green is making some amazing plays at both ends.

A good win by the Warriors today. Blazers played a very good game and their role players really stepped on both ends.

But they put the ball in Steph’s hands and he made things happen (with Green).

Iggy comes up with a big time defensive play as well.

On the draft, I think there will be some very unpredictable moves in this offseason.

Look at last off season and the Leonard and DeRozan trade was totally out of the blue.

I’m in the AD stays at NOLA camp. Their shrewd front office will make a couple of other moves that will provide a few other carrots for AD.

Lakers have done alright I reckon. They have access to one of three clear standout options on the draft class.

I'm sick of the West now. Hopefully the Bucks don't have to play out a 7 game series and add fatigue to the list of problems they'll have in the Finals.

@mariner4life he really knows how to flip that switch and take over a game on the offensive end. Draymond Green was phenomenal in today’s game. He always brings the defensive intensity, but the way he pushed the ball and put massive pressure on the Blazers defence was relentless. The starting forwards for the Blazers have been next to useless and it’s been the two (white) twin towers - Leonard and Collins - that have the far more productive. They have looked their best with those two and a combo of the four guards (Hood, CJ, Dame, Seth)

@ACT-Crusader In the last quarter DL and CJ couldn't hit a thing, and the GSW were ruthless in going for the jugular. This one is done

I really hope KD leaves Golden State, this team is so fun to watch.

I'd love them to win a fourth title and then shoot for a fifth with the 'retro lineup' of Curry, Thompson, Green, Iggy and a cast of scrubs around them.

They are a better "team" when he is not there i think. Also Curry spend the year playing the ball and giving Durant a heap of shots. When KD isn't there, he flicks the switch and scores fuckloads.

I reckon the whole team dynamic is better, they all (especially Draymond) look happier playing share ball. Frankly, Giannis or not, they won't need him to win the title vs the Bucks or the Raps

I don’t think they are a better team given they will win more with him than without. But as a fan for me they are far more enjoyable to watch when he’s not in the lineup because you see how Steph, Klay and Green really step up and they are fun to watch when they are locked in.
