@mariner4life yep it's how are the Blues halves going to go, versus will Hunt run out of steam playing out of position and having to tackle like a muther-fudger all game.
Heard it wasn't sold out which is interesting. Was cracking up as Radio Sport were having a bet on when the actual kick off would be. Cause sure as shit it ain't gonna be the listed 10.10pm.
To bad it's not on Thursday night, that'd provide a sweet segue into the BC's v Bangles!

It's Origin time!!!
The best excuse for midweek stubbies ever invented. Moving it to a Sunday would be sacrilegious.
Game 1 in Brisbane tonight.
NSW enter the series, and strangely, game 1, as favourites.
I sort of expected the NSW team to be waaay better, but between injuries, and Qld being able to put together a decent side, it's closer on paper than i thought. There are plenty of new faces in both sides.
The teams look even everywhere, but i actually think Qld have the better halves. But i don't think that is going to make up for the glaring difference at hooker, where Cook is just about the best player in the game, and Ben Hunt is Ben Hunt, and not a hooker.
I still sort of expect Qld by a couple, but that might just be recent history clouding my better judgement. If Nathan Cleary continues to stink the joint out, and Cody Walker goes missing, it could be a long night for NSW despite Cook and Tedesco.

And dont forget to give yourself an uppercut for good measure! Had a mate live in Sydney for a couple of years, took him forever to shake the 'give myself an uppercut' saying after doing something dumb.

I wouldn't normally stay up for Origin. Doesn't have the allure it had in the 90s. But being able to watch SA vs India immediately prior is a helpful lead in so i may be able to keep the peepers open until HT, with a bit of flicking between channels thrown in. As for the BCs game, that'll be an up at 5 to see what's happening in the second innings kinda thing as i get ready for another day of toil.

Well in that case...
In all seriousness I'd be happy to even buy you dinner but seriously farking snowed under at the moment. Enjoy this fine city. Just stay clear of Caxton Street. Recommend Southbank and South Brisbane for the best restaurants. Shit loads of variety.
