    Finally decided to get out for a walk this morning after weeks of inactivity. Got bored half a klick in, so moved into a jog.

    3km in 17 minutes. Got a wart on the outside of my left foot which sucks with run with at full pace, forefoot striking, but that's not a bad effort.

    @NTA pretty much the spirit of one of @mariner4life posts earlier this week. Although he also swam and cycled... and maybe ran just a few more kms 😂😂

    Yeah running is shit unless it's a short sprint. Even then it's shit.

    Focus on being a power athlete, do something amazing briefly as opposed to something mundane for ages.

    This also applies to ones sex life.

    Me: "-d get some muscle tone with weight work".
    Her: Blank stare
    Me: "Well, let's see what they say"

    @MN5 exactly. I think - based on what she's done for fitness to date (Mum's dancing class, Zumba, Yoga) - that it is more about the setting and the company, than any kind of effort.

    In effect, she doesn't want to look bad in front of people younger than her.

    I've also started doing pushups, chinups, and other body weight like squats and lunges to get a bit of tone back.

    All of this sucks equally compared to the running. But it has to be done.

    Really ? I love that sorta shit but hate running.....anything more than a sprint is a waste of time considering the fact I have a car.
