Will check it out! Sounds great.

Been introducing Mrs gt12 to NZ movies - whale rider, darkhorse (which was epic), once were Warriors, and boy. Anything big I've missed?

Most of the real good ones have been taken but - Quiet Earth, Scarfies, Housebound, The Navigator, Stickman, Sione's Wedding. No.2 if you want something slightly different.
-

Ah Quiet Earth, was trying to remember that one!

-

Am sure I have seen it, but dont recall Shaker Run, might have to pop into the DVD store tomorrow!!

If we're including American/NZ movies then add Battletruck to the list. For a homegrown NZ action film there was one with Temuera Morrison called Never Say Die.

Also Sleeping Dogs.
-

Heavenly Creatures, What we do in the Shadows, Peter Jackson's early splatter, The Piano.

I love the quote from mr Gormsby "the piano a film about a deaf mute that begins with a VoiceOver from her". -

That had John Ratzenberger [Cliff Clavin ] in it .

If mrs GT12 didn't do 6th form english here theres a good chance she never saw Vigil so you could add that to the list. Bad blood and Out of the blue would a fairly depressing but decent pair of films to watch too.

Has anyone said Boy yet?
-

In My Father's Den could be added to that lot.

Boy was one of the already watched ones.
-

Will try to find some movies a bit more fun. Mrs gt12 is still getting over Once were Warriors :)

Follow it up with What We do in the Shadows or Came a Hot Friday! -
What about Braindead and Bad Taste. Peter Jackson at his finest.
