    Toast Of London

Some genuinely weird shit in here from Matt Berry (IT Crowd) and a range of recurring and cameo guests (Jon Hamm, various British actors). Overall I found it was better to binge the 18 episodes over 3 series, which were loosely connected and ranged from "hilarious" to "WTF?"

Some nudity in there as well. Masonic Orgy is all I'll say.

    I enjoyed it.

Matt Berry is also in the TV series "what we do in the shadows" based on the movie with the same title and written by written by Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi. I enjoyed the first season of this immensely.

I thought Years and Years was excellent. Great cast, beautifully written, very dark indeed in many places, funny in other places and uplifting in a few. Well made and evocative TV.

Still on BBC I Player in the UK. Coming soon on HBO elsewhere.

Watch Years and Years (HBO) | HBO Max

Watch Years and Years (HBO) | HBO Max

Watch Years and Years (HBO) on HBO Max. Plans start at $9.99/month. Explore the day-to-day lives of the Lyons family and all of the innovations and upheaval that come with it.

Best not to know too much. It is family drama set in Manchester against a (possible) near future of technology and politics. Won't say much more.

Not for the self-righteous or easily offended. But if you admire V for Vendetta, Brave New World or Orwell's 1984 then the Lyons family saga is for you.

Loved the first half, got bored.

I watched the first two episodes of Flack last night (Anna Paquin leads.) I liked it. Bleak, funny, dark, even a few cute moments. She works for a PR firm who specialises in crisis management for asshat celebs. Really flawed character, surrounded by flawed characters.

Great series. Gets darker by the episode.

Not sue whether to write this here or the Hurricanes thread.
Any fans of the show **** that’s delicious?
One of Action Bronson’s crew is walking around wearing a Hurricanes jersey. (In Morocco of all places)
Not something you see on tv very often..

Anyone binged on old Simpson's recently?

I've 'acquired' seasons 2 - 10 to watch on my phone for the trip to and from work each day. Amazing how much that show still holds up. Still laugh out loud funny and so many classic lines that I'd forgotten. Really was something very special.

Early Simpson’s is classic tv, golden era would be late 90s early 2000s (pretty much the seasons you have)

    "The Planets" BBC documentary series.
Highly recommend, absolutely love getting lost in thoughts of the far-flung planets. Similarly, I love the Neil deGrasse Tyson series Spacetime odyssey , something so soothing about the Cosmos.

Those with kids have a look at this........fascinating and awe inspiring. My boys love the music too, from the crappy sci fi flick "The Black Hole" for those interested.

1100 years to fly round the biggest star once ?!?!?!?!?!

Far too much scope for my pea brain to handle.

My viewing so far this year:

    Banshee - really enjoyed this
@jegga I know you were talking up Lili Simmons but Odette Annable tops her. Smokin' hot

Counterpart S2 - I hope S3 goes ahead as the season finale poised more questions than answers

True Detective S3 - opinions on the final episode were polarising but the final 10 mins was heartbreaking. Outstanding performances from 4 main characters

    Absentia S2
Billions S4 - one of the best shows on TV
The Blacklist S6 - only watching for James Spader
    Blindspot S4
    Game of Thrones
    Knightfall S2 - OK
Into The Badlands S3 - another show cancelled prematurely
    Warrior
What We Do in the Shadows - the vampire tribunal scene was brilliant

Deadwood: The Movie - welcome back!

    Currently watching:
    Jett
    City On A Hill

Simmons looks filthier, Annable more beautiful.
