The team has over-performed this season. I was honestly worried in February that we would finish last in the NZ conference this year. To make the semis is an impressive achievement for Plumtree and co. Canes fans can be proud of a very solid season.

That said, next week's game will be a bridge too far. I suspect the Crusaders will win by 40+ points.

@sparky is that predicted margin a joke. You seriously think the Crusaders will beat the Canes by that much. I’d say 10-15 points max. The Crusaders are good but they aren’t that good.

@Canes4life I don't think the Crusaders have hit any thing like top gear yet this year. Lots of cat and mouse. They have a lot left in reserve for these last two games. I would loved to be proved wrong, but I think the Crusaders will be far, far, far too good for the Hurricanes at the weekend.

@sparky 40 points though, I wonder what that’s paying at the TAB. You never know with the Canes, if they turn up with the razzle dazzle they can beat anyone comfortably. They also haven’t hit their stride yet.

Tbh I just hope the Canes perform, if they don’t win so be it. Aslong as we leave everything out on the field I will be happy.

@Canes4life I take it as a given now that Colesy, Addie Savea,Evans, TJP and BB give absolutely everything on the paddock. It had become the Canes way. Hopefully others will follow their lead.

Problem next week is that all 23 Crusaders will give everything they've got too.

@Chris Jordie will look like the "Kevin Durant" of Super Rugby if he makes the switch.

I wouldn't blame Jordie for leaving. His development seems to have stalled at the Canes. He definitely hasn't looked like AB quality this year.

How is that other lock rehabbing? Torn biceps or pec muscle? He was outstanding for the Canes last year and would be better than Scranton.

@Chris Yes that is the guy. I think since coming to the canes he has made significant improvement and provided a lot of grunt to the pack. Had the ability to hold up guys in the tackle too.
